I figured out how to get the dripstone to spread Sculk, but unfortunately I don't think this design will work. The spawner is just too slow, the machine gets jammed up. I might have to go to The End and get a mite in a cart for this.

Ooooh apparently the reason the sculk wasn't spreading when I dropped the mobs onto dripstone is because if I don't directly attack them, they don't drop XP.

How do other people get this to work then.

Also it FINALLY thundered at my base. Not a single one of the wild horses that I put in pens with lightning rods was struck by lightning x_x

Actually... I don't know if this will work. =/ In my tests dropping zombies onto dripstone and it killing them did not cause the Sculk to spread. And when I kill them myself it does spread to the stone, but it also spreads onto the cobblestone and into the walls. Maybe building an Endermen farm in The End would be better for Sculk? =/

And it works! This is fantastic! My first redstone contraption of the world (other than the wool farm. that doesn't count) and it works better than expected! This is great news. I'm going to build another one underground under a mob spawner and put Sculk Catalysts to turn the stone into Sculk :D

Is there a good way to farm Drowned? They dont seem to respawn around ocean ruins

3 rekills down. Sounds good enough today. Ill slowly work on this project over time. I need to do something else. Every time she knocks me into the air or across the island I have a heart attack lol

2 rekills down. Fighting this thing can be nervewracking. she knocked me off one tower 3 times before I could break the crystal. Then this tower. As you can see I made it about halfway up. Then she freaking knocked me into the air and I landed on top of the tower and I used a water bucket to get down. lol

Found my second Stronghold. It's in the middle of an ocean directly below a monument. Moment I find the portal room. BAM Mining Fatigue. :P

So funny story. I got my last Ghast Tear. Immediately 4 Ghasts spawn. I kill them. Get the tears. Start walking back home. 3 more spawn. Why couldn't I get this kind of spawn luck 3 days ago. Anyway. it's done. Have my tears. Going to do some prep work. Make the crystals. Make bottles for Dragon's Breath. Gonna find a second Stronghold. Then it's dragon farming time.

Is it worth looking for more strongholds to loot or is the loot not that good

I started to farm Ghasts again. But said "no, this is boring, I want to do something else." So I decided I should go back to that second Ancient City I never raided. Very glad I did, I found a whopping 5 god apples. In addition to a lot of other resources. Also hoeing out the sculk I found like 40 diamonds, no joke. And as you can see, all that sculk got me to level 63 lol

On the Ghasts front though, I have 65 tears, so I believe I only need about another 10 more. So might finish that tomorrow then fight the dragon a few times.

I like how I spend hours grinding out drops in the Nether getting like 50 levels then I go to repair my bow and it costs 33 levels

50 tears. Might take a break from hunting Ghasts and do something else

Oh wow apparently up to 20 gateways can spawn on the end island. I thought it was only 12. I'm gonna have to get a lot more tears. :0

Out of time for today. I looked through my monster drop chest and found 7 more Ghast Tears. I knew I had more somewhere. So total I have 19 now. So enough for 4, almost 5 more Dragon fights.

Had a weird thought. What if I tower up and forcefully despawned the zombie pigmen. And sure enough Ghasts started spawning en masse. Now I have 5 tears lol

Ive killed several Ghasts. Cleared out all the lava and fire on this plateau for hundreds of blocks. I have 2 ghast tears from it. Part of the problem is theyre not spawning. Part of the problem is they despawn too fast when they do spawn. I know they cant spawn in the forests, so Im away from the forests

Oh yeah if I have a Looting III Sword in my offhand and shoot a Ghast does the looting effect happen and I get more tears?

I do have an internal monologue. You know what I can't do? Visualize. If you tell me to picture a red circle. I just can't do it. I know what a red circle looks like but if I close my eyes and try to picture a red circle I just can't.

Oh yeah I took a piston into The End and picked up the Dragon Egg and put it on a table in my house. Does it do anything or does it just sit there. I know it teleports to a random spot a few blocks away if I click it.
Also I need to figure out how to revive the dragon to get more gateways in The End. That's something I want to do, kill the Dragon like 12 more times or whatever to open all the gateways.

I know I said I would get enough skulls for one Wither a week, but I said screw it, the beacon base is complete. Might as well go for it. I found a second Nether Fortress. This one was much more consistent for Wither Skeleton spawns. It still took over 3 hours to get these fourteen skulls. Then right at the end, back to back skull drops. I was only looking for one more for a trophy, but hell I'll take two. Now to prepare and go kill 4 more Withers lol

Yeah that was pretty smart of Notch to market the alpha and beta builds as cheaper. But I supposed we can blame him for the current state of early access gaming.

Also I noticed something odd when I raided the Bastion last night. The Piglins were hoarding golden carrots. Do the Piglins covet gold because they want to eat it...?

And don't even get me started on the ethical issues of anthropomorphic pigmen that raise actual pigs as war beasts.

Carrington Event 2: This Time It's Personal

Found and raided a bastion. Built a Nether portal to escape. Ended up in this MASSIVE aquifer above a ruined city. There was gold literally everywhere. Plus everything I got from looting said bastion, this is going to be more than enough to finish my full size Beacon, plus my portable travel Beacon. :D

Unfortunately I did not find Pigstep from raiding the Bastion. ;-;
