Nick Kyrgios has been the subject of much discussion at this year's Wimbledon tournament as he's clashed with umpires and reporters alike over the last two weeks of tennis. Kyrgios is set to play a quarterfinals match against Cristian Garn on Wednesday, but will be faced with far more questions concerning what's happening off the court; on Tuesday, the player was charged with assaulting Chiara Passari, his ex-girlfriend, in Australia. After practice today, reporters swarmed Kyrgios asking if he had any comment on the allegations. Kyrgios, predictably, chose to not answer any questions about his legal case but did joke, "I feel like I'm in The Last Dance," and shared a laugh with man walking beside him.

Kyrgios presumably felt that way because of the sheer number of cameras surrounding him after an otherwise uneventful practice session, but such a cavalier attitude is probably not the best route to take when facing assault allegations. This was made evident by the way one media member then asked if he thought this was funny. For now, Kyrgios' barrister, Jason Moffett, is doing the talking and told media that his client takes the allegations "very seriously." He is due in court in August.

Some games are doing work hours. Or you dont have enough time after work to get to the games. Plus if a game goes into extra innings could effect you going to work in the morning if you do attend.

Once she scored her role as country singer Juliette Barnes on Nashville in 2014, her postpartum depression arose and her dependency on alcohol worsened. Her pregnancy was also written into the musical drama series. Those were really tough years, Panettiere remembered. I could relate to a lot of those storylines like the alcoholism and postpartum depression. They hit close to home. She would later start a relationship with Klitschko in 2009 and said their courtship began to falter when she would sneak away to drink. He didnt want to be around me, she recounted. I didnt want to be around me. But with the opiates and alcohol I was doing anything to make me feel happy for a moment. Then Id feel worse than I did before. I was in a cycle of self-destruction. Her drinking increased and was hospitalized with jaundice and her liver was about to give out. She later sent Kaya to live with Klitschko in Ukraine so she could get better. Panettiere has mainly stayed out of the spotlight in the last few years amid her ongoing issues with boyfriend Brian Hickerson, whom she started dating in 2018. Bankman-Frieds FTX has been seen as a lender of last resort in the crypto space meaning that it has given loans to exchanges near collapse and on Thursday CNBC reported that it is close to a deal to buy crypto lender BlockFi for roughly $25 million. Still, Bankman-Fried said there are more crypto firms that will likely go under. There are companies that are basically too far gone and its not practical to backstop them for reasons like a substantial hole in the balance sheet, regulatory issues or that there is not much of a business left to be saved, he said Tuesday, without naming any specific companies. Fellow billionaire and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban previously described the current crypto slide as echoing the early 2000s dotcom bubble, when speculative investing inflated the valuations of internet-based companies over a 5-year span before a steep crash in 2001 and 2002. Crypto is going through the lull that the early internet went through, Cuban said. The space is currently stuck in an imitation phase where there are too many companies with too little new utility. One intermediate court in the southern city of Shenzhen recognised a response using a sun emoji as an endorsement of extending the lease in a rental dispute, the Sixth Tone website said in a report on how emojis were being used as proof in courts, adding, A county court in the eastern Anhui province stated in 2020 that an icon referring to the OK hand gesture didnt constitute evidence for the acknowledgement of a loan contract. Chinese courts have taken cognizance of emojis in at least 158 cases filed across the country since 2018. The number of cases where lawyers presented emojis as evidence rose from eight in 2018 to 61 in 2021. There were 23 such cases in 2019, and the highest so far, 66 in 2020. The information triggered a buzz on Chinese social media with discussions on Weibo, Chinas version of Twitter, being read more than 200 million times in the past two days.

Ironically, many shared the emoji for surprise after reading the news. Others wondered aloud how careful they need to be in using emojis while exchanging messages. The use of these icons, however, is not regulated and local media reports said theres much confusion about their usage. According to the news website thepaper.cn, the Jiangsu Higher Peoples Court said, the interpretation of emojis is highly subjective and lacks a unified standard, making it difficult for the court to accurately translate the true meaning of the symbols. Therefore, although emoji, as a form of expression, can be used as evidence in court, in the process of specific practice, relevant aspects still need to be viewed with caution, the court said in its post. In a 2020 thesis titled Aggressiveness of emojis before the court: a sociosemiotic interpretation, three Chinese experts said the usage is a new challenge for courts. Emojis, used as evidence as any language is used in communication, have posed new challenges for courts to adopt emojis as evidence beyond the traditional mode of speech and communication and to interpret them appropriately, especially their aggressive side of meaning, said Le Cheng, Yuxiu Sun and Jian Li, writing in the peer-reviewed journal Social Semiotics, which focusses on communication, cultural studies, linguistics and languages.

The post also reveals that she had walked away from her partner of 8 years. Daisley is a trained naturopath who founded the business Smart Cleanse, which offers various 14-day detox plans. Daisleys father, Ross Daisley, shot to fame after his thoroughbred racehorse Choisir won the prestigious Royal Ascot and Newmarket races back in 2003. He offered to pay $10,000 to ensure his daughter would return to court if she was granted conditional freedom. A judge denied the offer. Daisley will remain behind bars until her next court appearance on August 23.
