honestly the best way to get more people to eat less meat is to make alternatives cheaper and more available at this point. The flavor is almost indistinguishable.

I hope plant-based protein becomes cheaper as time goes on. I'd love to try it more regularly but the 60% markup turns me away all the time.

Vegetarians and Vegans are more likely to be conscious about societal problems and the environment. As a meat eater thinking about that shit gets me pretty fucking depressed too.

Agree with this...mostly. Voltorb Flip was fucking trash, but could probably be re-worked into something sudoku or picross-esque. Have actual skill-based minigames.

Well they've done pokemon picross and pinball before. Could definitely put those kinds of games into a corner for prizes.

Like I said, I'm not an avid chess player. I've mostly been browsing forums, watching videos, reading reddit links. etc. And I'm convinced by some of the math that the moves Niemann played were statistically beyond his skill level and match more of what a chess computer would do.

He very well could be legit, the probability is there, but it seems to be really low.

I don't think the anal beads "theory" is true, but there are ways of cheating at in-person tournaments.

The big thing is that Magnus isn't just good at chess. He's on a whole different level. He has devoted thousands of hours to studying specific openings and sequences of moves (called lines) and famous chess players that have played those lines.

The particular game he played used a line he personally only ever played one time in his history, and this is the line that his opponent not only knew how to counter, but did so with the precision of a modern chess engine.

The likelihood that this was a legitimate outcome is very low, beyond what even random probability would have.

Also I agree and disagree here. TPC has tons of spinoff games, and tries new things each generation. But they have a specific style and design philosophy that they try to stick to or risk having a game be too different from the series to be considered a part of it.

To say Pokemon hasn't innovated at all would be a lie, just look at Legends as evidence of that.

But I do think they keep too tight a leash around their new ideas, instead of letting them reach higher potential (ie. Mega Evolutions)

Time machine joke was dead on. Its very easy in 2022 to pretend you would have bravely gone against the grain and recognized the bad stuff from generations past because youre such a moral exemplar, but realistically youre a product of your culture now and likely would have been back then too.

This movie is a prophetic one. We as a society have gotten so used to the government telling us what to do and how to live, we will just let it happen. In the old days, we never would have let things get this far. It started simple with manditory smoking and drinking ages, then having to were seatbelts and helmets. Now we let them tell us to stay home and hide our faces behind masks.

Theyve literally been throwing theyre plans right in our faces, most of society is too far brain washed to see whats happening.
