If you can document any form of abuse at all you could get a restraining order on him which would force him to move out early. No reason to put up with that at all if it goes on still. That really sucks as last I heard (been awhile) he was fairly supportive and just wanted kids, which you didn't, and he knew that, but figured you would change your mind, which is why you guys split up.

Dec 31'st is still along time to go, which really sucks hard if your in that situation. Now that he is a tenant, you could possible just rent out the other space in the house until he leaves (make it obvious it's a short term lease/renting opportunity), and either move in with spidey, or rent another place for the short term (if you can't go the restraining order route).

Sorry you're in such a crappy situation Jen. At least an end is in sight, but if it's really bad, considering finding a temp solution so you don't spend 5 months super stressed and unhappy.

Yeah this was the second time I got the offer to buy one directly. The first time I kinda blew it off since there isn't much I wanna play on it.

I'm looking forward to the new Ratchet the most, I have played all those games fully at least once.

Normally would be looking forward to Dark souls the next most except for Elden ring.

I hope returnal is actually fun though, I know they added free content for it as well. I may hold off on it, but most of the reviews seemed pretty positive on it. I could also just rent it (have not rented stuff in ages).

Was 600 shells, but it came with horizon, so totally worth it.

Probably gonna get Ratchet and clank and Returnal for sure.

Normally I'd be all over the demon souls remake but I still have only played about half of Elden ring lol (got distracted and havn't gotten back to it), so gotta do that before moving on to a new one.

Rent control across the board. Tax penalties for owning more than 1 property.

Colleges can only charge enough to pay teachers and staff, no for profit schools.

Current student loans are reduced back to their initial values and interest rates are reduces to .5% a year. Any previous payments are applied to that total. Credits (amounts paid over that owed) can be applied to future taxes.

The government stays out of what you do with your body, no more war on drugs, no more laws against abortion etc. What you do to yourself is up to you, doctors are given the choice though and not forced to perform any procedures if they do not want to.

Social security will be abolished, as will disability etc. IF you can work, even answering phones, you will be given a job. After you have worked (over 20 hours a week) for 40 years or more, you are eligable to work at a reduced amount of hours a week. After 50 years of work, you may retire and gain a fixed income to suppliment any savings you may have. Disabled people who can not work at all, have severe mental issues etc, are also given a fixed income.

All new parents get 6 months maternity leave "paid at their normal salary" to split between them. A single mom can take all 6 months, a married couple can split them, or have one parent take them all.

High speed public transportation that is easy to use and can accomidate most of the population will be a priority across the country. Reliance on cars will drop drastically and future cars will focus on electric or other clean sources of power.

I'd start with that, but obviously I would work with experts to try and come up with the best changes to make life as good as possible for a majority of people in this country. I would probably also close our borders to most immegration for the immediate future until we have consolidated our gains and come up with a system that works for everyone already here.

I go to one next to safeway specificlaly cause i can get sented candles for 1.25 there (basically $5 anywhere else).

I used to go for other things but don't bother anymore. The aluminum foil and pans were cheaper there (By about half) and a few other things like paper plates etc as well.

But I generally just get it all at safeway now since I rarely buy any of it anyway.

Damn, you are seriously lucky and your ex is a good guy. Not many people would sign away over $100k like that. Unless he put it in writting that he would just sign it over, there was nothing forcing him to, and you both have been paying a mortgage all this time, so the equity in the house would probably make it more than $200k total profit from selling it (even after taxes/realtors fee's etc).

If he gave you his word and then kept it, good on him and REALLY good for you.

Also means you now have a nice backup nest egg in the future if things ever fall apart etc, or you just decide to quite the US and move over seas. You could just sell the house, snag $200k or so and drag spidey with you hehe.

Also, interestingly, you can not evict someone who is even 1% owner of a property. You can't force them to pay the mortgage or utilities etc either. You can, as you mentioned go to court and force the sale of the house, but that is your only legal recourse. Dangerous to co-own a house with someone because of that, and even to just make someone a 1% owner (which can allow you to get around things like HOA rules about who can live in the property etc).

Flying needs a bunch of other powers to really be useful. You added in the ability to handle any atmosphere and temp though, which are 2 of the issues, so that is really almost 3 powers. In theory the ocean is an atmosphere as well, so you might even be able to fly underwater as well (making the swimming power kinda pointless).

Any atmosphere might mean none as well, which could mean you could fly through space as well, but that brings up how FAST you can fly. If it's superspeed fast, then again, superspeed is obsolete as well.

If you can only fly at say 2 miles per hour, then your not gonna go many places, and you don't really even need the any atmosphere temp change, but if you are going to fly at 100 mph, then you need endurance/durability etc to handle the wind force/things (like birds) hitting you etc. Without it, flying would be very dangerous.

Of the other powers a few like xray vision etc could make you unlimitedly wealthy, so you could try being iron man lol, but only time manipulation can actually make it much harder to kill you and it has a ton of other applications as well. It could in theory also make you immortal, or at least make your life last WAY longer if you kept resetting the same day over and over (until bored with it then move on to a new day).

If you can reset a day backwards, you can use each day to it's limit, living it over again like ground hogs day to aquire skills, and of course become isanely filthy rich very quickly. You then would have your own jet etc, that could let you get all over the world and experience a "day" everywhere. You could literally fly to many hundreds of thousands of places, and reset the day there before moving forward one day in real time.

So while you can't fly yourself, you got the money to not only have a personal jet, but pay people to invent stuff for you (so make a jetpack etc just for yourself that lets you fly). No worries about it crashing etc cause...time manipulate backwards if it does.

So of the choices, time manipulation gives pretty much everything else, just you would need to use money to get the other abilities (not to mention you can groundhogs day it till you can invent them yourself lol).

Do you need evil for a fawn or deer to exist? Without evil many animals would live peaceful happy lives, not harming anything and living in balance with nature.

Some might say "without animals to hunt them, they would overpopulate and eventually starve", but even the animals that eat them are not evil, they are just hungry and kill only for food, not sport.

So yes, you can have good without evil, and no, the definition of good isn't based on something to compare it with. Good is simply the act of existing in harmony with the life/universe around you, without disrupting the lives of others and causing more suffering than is needed for life to continue.

Evil is being selfish, harming others because you want something and think your own happiness is more important. Evil is going against nature and making the universe a harsher place. Evil is usually a concious act by man or animal to cause harm to others (or even yourself).

Evil can not exist without good, that is true, as without anything good in the universe, there would be nothing to harm, there would be no basis for evil at all. Good on the other hand is the natural state, and evil is the abomination, the mutation, the other path. Evil is when you take something good, and twist it, to make it a negative instead of a positive.

Sadly evil is common and even the best people often commit at least some evil acts. Animals on the other hand are more simple and while there are certainly animals that commit evil acts (cats, rats, birds etc) some animals rarely do, or never do.

A world without evil might be dull, but it would certainly be safe and everything living in it would be happy. It would not have to be totally boring though, there could still be happiness, achievements etc, just most competition would be for fun at most, and progress would almost certainly take much longer (especially technological progress etc, since no wars etc).

We could probably create such a world, almost definitely with the tech we have now, but evil is so ingrained in us that it's not very likely to happen, especially since most of those in positions of power, get there by doing many evil acts and believe that makes it their right to control everything.

Not sure really, I have 2 T-bones to bbq, but they have small filet portions and I usually just use the other side for soups and stuff, so not thrilled about it. Might go into town and go shopping for better grilling options. Gonna have to do it before Monday for sure.

Oh yeah, real sneaky of Marvel to hire Sam Raimi to make a movie and somehow wind up with a Sam Raimi movie on their hands. Surely nobody would notice that an actual director with a noticeable style made the movie instead of whatever hive of drones they get to churn out the Spider-man movies.

I mean, I didn't see who the director was before watching the movie. Then I was watching it and I was like hold on, is that the necronomicon? Then a few minutes later there is a hot dog salesman that looks just like an older/pudgier Bruce Cambel/Ash....oh wait...he is older and pudgier...that is him. Then you have undead main character (or possessed undead main character) and spirits that come after you because you broke rules etc, it just kept getting deeper and deep to the point you stopped seeing a marvel movie, and started feeling groovy (give me some sugar baby!!).

Seriously the big bad, SW, was more like the undead female zombie char in Evil dead then anything else, and didn't even really make any sense in a straight up conversion of the character. DS even basically was like "you bitch, you could just help me train this chick and she can send you to a dimension where your kids lost their mom, but she was like, nope, they might get sick, I want her power.

That makes no sense at all, especially since she basically implied she was going to kill her alternative self to take her place lols.

They just took the marvel chars and altered them in a way that made them fit into evil dead 4, and sometimes (like when she was chasing em through the tunners, not flying, stumbling like a zombie etc) it didn't even really fit/make sense.

Actually kinda amazing that it worked at all if you look at it that way. MAAAAYBE Sam Raimi just added his own artistic license to the film and did so to such an extent that it looks like an evil dead film, but honestly I think he just basically took what he wanted to do in ED4 and incorporated it into this movie.

Sorry for those of you I morbed, I was in a bad mood.

Honestly I think the "shambling" scene was meant for evil dead 4, and they just put SW into that role even though it didn't make sense (Was supposed to be some undead or something). Her character HAS RANGED ATTACKS for instance, she didn't need to freaking catch up with them in the first place, she could fly, etc etc....it didn't make sense for the people involved at all.

Almost feel like they took DR strange and the marvel universe and fit it into a script they had for the next evil dead movie and hoped nobody would notice.

They also had the basic necronomicon involved, the same spirits that came out due to taking over a dead body etc. Literally had a ton of tie ins throughout the movie. Didn't know Raimi directed it till after when I looked it up specifically cause I felt like he had to, and I was right.

It was actually Evil Dead 4 that is why.

Btw many auctions show cars online before hand to give people a heads up on what is going to be available.

To get a good idea of what the used car dealers will pay for that car (how high they will go), simply call a few and say you have a similar car (or even that car with that milage, they won't probably notice), and ask how much trade in value they will give.

That trade in value (which is rediculously low btw), is so low because that is what they would be willing to pay for it at a car auction, so they will give you about the same or a bit less.

This lets you know about how much they will be willing to bid on the car which is an advantage when you actually go and bid on it. Sadly you might end up in a bidding war with OTHER individuals who are willing to go over that amount, so it's a good idea to plan ahead and have a few cars (more than the amount you want to win) as options.

That way you can usually snag at least a few cars and get a decent profit return making the trip worth your time effort.

It's pretty easy if you sell under BBV (blue book value), and you can often get cars for WAY under BBV (allowing you to sell them for a profit) by going to car auctions, looking on Facebook Marketplace and similar places etc.

Going to auctions puts you in competition with the used car delearships but they usually are not willing to pay as much especially for the fairly cheap cars, due to overhead and the cost of the space the car would be in etc.

As an example a BBV car of around $5000 will often go for $500-$1000 at a auction, but.....used car dealerships are not going to be willing to pay anything over say $700 for it, so if you get it for $800 and then turn around and put it up for sale at $4000 (Especially right now due to most cars going for over BBV currently), you make a significant profit of $3200, you can do that 4 times a year without getting a license as well, which with just 4 cars would be a net profit of about 12,800$.

Consider that what you're saying is basically the same as telling somebody not to practice judaism or have any sort of homosexual interactions in Nazi Germany: It works around the problem, sure, but it doesn't solve it, and that workaround involves pretty considerable personal sacrifice.

With appropriate birth control (made readily available and not restricted by Y'all Qaeda), you can reduce the risk of pregnancy to be low enough as to be negligible on a personal scale. That's not to say you can't still make the decision to avoid sex altogether to stamp out that last bit of risk, but it does mean that most people are going to be able to have sex freely and never end up with an unwanted pregnancy. Most, however, is not all, which is why there needs to be a backup plan for the handful of couples that slip through the cracks.

To some degree, but honestly men just don't seem worth the risk lol. Also if men seem to think they can take control of women's decisions about their own bodies, the only response I can see until that gets changed is to take the choice out of their hands all together.

I'm not a woman, I'm not going to have kids at this point and I'm depressed/sick and unmotivated, so I really shouldn't get involved in the discussion at this point. I won't even vote anymore (already decided) since I leave all the decisions up to everyone else. I'm not that old though, and I could possibly live for awhile, and I DID try and make a difference throughout my life. I voted, I volunteered at voting booths in CA, I stumped for politicians etc. I'm past that now, but it's hard for me to totally stop getting involved in conversations. Just because I have decided to step back, doesn't mean I still don't want to state my opinion or talk about stuff......it just means I probably shouldn't.
