I was thinking letters in ascii increment by 1 so all you have to do is check if next letter incremented by two then you know the skip is there. Saves space complexity not having the alphabet array and saves time searching for start position.

i get that, but the problem strikes me as fairly beginner and probably intended to test you on arrays so space complexity doesn't seem like a priority. someday tho

That's my guess too. Run a loop until one doesn't match the other and then return that letter

dont do ALL the work for him, jeez :/ the most learning happens when they struggle through it

perhaps something to do with an array containing the alphabet in order, and the indices of that array :)

i'm 30 years old. i've lived here all my life. until i was 28, it was extremely rare to hear people honking their horns in frustration at each other. now i hear it every single time i go out. although i think part of it is we've hit a critical mass of people moving here from out of town where driving tends to be a lot more aggressive. the stereotype of us here has always been that we're too passive on the road if anything.

Wait is this real? I got a filling many years ago where they used nitrous oxide, then local anesthetic. My heart started beating really fast and it freaked me out and I remember stupidly trying to explain to the dentist that I was panicking through the mental fog of the laughing gas.

He took off the gas and made a note in my file that I had a bad reaction to the nitrous. All these years I still don't know what caused the panic (except just being a little nervous about the procedure). Nitrous is supposed to have the opposite effect. Guess it could have been the local anesthetic.
