If your standard is speech that would have First Amendment protection against the government then you end up forcing them to carry some really reprehensible speech (hate speech, for example, is protected). If you try to have some reasonableness standard then it becomes toothless as well; tons of people believe, for example, the lie that the election was stolen or vaccine conspiracy theories, etc. Saying that Facebook or Twitter have to allow that stuff on their site strikes me as pretty ridiculous.

I really enjoyed both of them. They're both probably more casual-friendly than the average FE game, and the production values of Echoes are great (the VA for one of the villains in particular gives an amazing performance).

There's no distinction in the First Amendment (or Section 230) between "platforms" and "publishers" (and in fact even if there were websites routinely act as both; under your suggestion does the NYT become a "platform" because they have a comments section?). The fact is that this law compels speech; Twitter should not have any obligation to host Trump's tweets where he urges on a mob on a quest to hang Mike Pence.

Since they exercised their editorial discretion by choosing not to moderate it.

This is the whole reason Section 230 was put into place. What you've just described is an extremely powerful incentive not to moderate at all (because moderating perfectly at scale is impossible and what constitutes "viewpoint discrimination" is subjective) which would cause websites with user generated content to become complete cesspits.

The 5th Circuit, which a week or two ago ruled that companies have a First Amendment right to not cover preventative medicine for AIDS in their employees' health insurance, ruled that companies don't have a First Amendment right to moderate user generated content:

Not sure if I should go with FFVII B1 (Aerith stuff and Cloud/Barret limit chains could help some for a potential VII CD sub-30 attempt) or one last pull on the VII-XII banner (Clouds DA would help much more than anything on the VII banner, but Im up to 8/12 dupes and only Tiduss AA2 would do anything for me as a consolation prize)

Afaik public opinion has shifted non-negligibly in a pro-choice direction post-Dobbs, so while it might have been the median position before I expect that it would be underwater now.

My impression is that the median position is really something like uncomfortable with both abortion and forced birth, for some limits in theory but less so in practice when they start hearing horror stories, and probably with a bias towards abortions being legal when unsure since that was the status quo.

Senate GOP intends to introduces a federal abortion ban today. Reports are it'll ban abortion after 15 weeks with no exceptions. Will not restore abortion in states that went even more draconian than this so total bans, 6 weeks, etc. will remain in effect in those states. Would affect all other states though by making it illegal after that point.

The play is obviously to try and shift the Overton window by going "See we offered up 15 weeks but Dems want abortion on demand up until the second before birth" since obviously this is dead on arrival in the current Senate.

Yeah, seems very dumb. If it was both a floor and a ceiling (and had exceptions) I could at least see the line of thought behind it as a political move, but of course they probably couldn't get their caucus on board with that even if some of them wanted to. The public takeaway will be confirmation that the GOP wants to enact a national abortion ban, not "oh this ban isn't as extreme as the ones you've heard about in a bunch of states" (which is what I assume Graham intends)

Ah that's a bummer; I'm a RDM main myself, and it does seem harder for me to top the threat meter than it did in ShB (though I'm sure some of it is that I don't have the optimized rotation down as well). I didn't know that it was undertuned, though.

Yeah I'm totally on board with it for what it is (not expecting a Monster-quality plot here or anything), and I did read over half of it back when it was first being published. I was just wondering if the second half was generally regarded as being better/worse/about the same as the first half.

Usually for anime/manga like this the most likely way for things to go downhill for me is that the later arcs start getting more and more bloated and the pacing goes to shit (though that's more of an issue in anime than manga since you can kinda skim manga battle scenes if they get too drawn out). I seem to recall that that was kinda happening with FT around that point, but I don't think it had reached DBZ or post-time skip OP anime levels.

How hard was it compared to final raids in other patches?

I had a few runs where it was going really well but then I got bit right before P3, leaving me unable to counter full break. I honed Prishes AASB so P1 actually sometimes went too fast (I used that and Ayames AASB) and I didnt have enough gauge. Glad I could manage this without any DAs after all!

I died the first time to sap while under stacked antiheal (not a great combo), but the next time I made sure to counter sap and the first antiheal wore off in time to avoid death. I came pretty close to sub-30ing thanks to Tidus and Trey both having dual/sync combos, so I guess maybe Ill actually try to do that even though there are no rewards. For magic I dont think a sub-30 will be possible since I missed Meias DA.

Can you revert the game to pre-patch on the Switch? I'd assume it's possible if you have the physical version at least. Then you could go get the Olipple.
