There's a lot of games people shit on that I like and don't consider bad (Devil's Third)

There's games that I see major flaws in that make it difficult for me to recommend without warnings but do sincerely love and think has a lot of merit (Crystal Bearers)

then there's outright bad games that I legit have fun fucking around with (Red Steel)

I think Tales of Rebirth is the best pick for me

It's one of my favourite Tales games, in a franchise that I typically love for its gameplay.... but I ultimately hated the 3-rails battle system in Rebirth. It was frustrating because the gameplay had elements I liked to it like the rush gauge which was neat letting you dynamically adjust mid-fight to be more powerful or more defensive but god damn 3 rails and often a lot of enemies just meant for a lot of frustration overall.

Probably a Smash but I can't decide Melee vs Ultimate. I never did get into super high level Melee but I always did really enjoy it, but Ultimate's come back to being where I truly don't need to go back to Melee anymore now that I got my directional air-dodges back.

also up there for Dread, although still mix-up the shoulder buttons a lot so that pulls it down.

yashahime s2 e23 beated.. which seems to be the end of the season plot, next is bonus joy period thing

I do love my 200cc but I'm rather used to doing 150s for others

I really find 200s exhilarating though, just gotta keep your finger on that brake... okay ninja castle is pushing it with those sharp, closed-quarters turns

lmfao I love this. I was actually surprised at how well I could handle Shroom Ridge 200cc, I expected hell what with all the cars and turns but it was great getting purple drifts and everything.

She used to have a lot of issues with self-confidence always trying to please him but she says she eventually learned he will never give that sort of validation so she's just learned to feel pride in herself and... not let him get to her because he's never gonna change. Which yeah he's unfortunately been like this for decades and doesn't accept any criticism (his 2 reactions are laugh it off and misdirect, or get greatly offended).

But I think she really does just power through too much I know still gets to her as every now and then she'll try to push back and that's when he'll change the topic so he doesn't have to hear criticism, until he does another little jab. For me I wish she wouldn't tolerate it as much as she does, like at some point you gotta say "if you're gonna be like this then I'm just ending the call" so he's forced to reckon with what is not acceptable behavior.

My dad just really is the real life embodiment of an online troll, he thinks he's just teasing but he says hurtful shit and when he sees that he upsets you, even if you tell him to stop, if you say it's not cool, that it's hurtful, he laughs and keeps trying to push your buttons. He's the absolute bloody king of the guilt trip and I've never heard of anyone that could possibly compete.

Since my niece was born he frequently says he doesn't wanna be called grandpa (because he has insecurity about being old), "defends" it saying we never really grew up with him anyways, or now that my sister has had to move to america due financial circumstances so he says she will never come to visit until the baby's an adult anyways doing the old "see you in 20 years!" bit, either that or talk about how he'll be dead soon (something he's been saying for 20 years). He also calls the baby an American now, says she'll grow up more with the father's side of the family (he used to / still does the same to us saying we're more belonging to our mother's family than his). He does so much disassociating from us just to cause emotional guilt and he just lobs these "jokes" in at whatever possible opportunity he can force into a conversation.

I honestly worry for when my niece is older if she visits our dad he will definitely do the same emotionally abusive stuff he uses on us and really already uses on her as a baby. It's like she'd have to be prepared first like "now your grandpa might say some really fucked up things to you but hang in there we all went through it"

oh yeah and about phone calls good god is he needy, if my sister goes like a day or two without calling he starts going "wow I haven't heard from her in 2 weeks!" or more
