Black Widow is without a doubt my least favourite MCU movie, like I've been bored before but not like that.

But on the other end... I just now finished Spider-Man with the digital release now and wow that has to be up there in my favourites not that I have much of an idea what my favs are. [spidey spoilz] Fantastic blend of emotions from comedy to sorrow, that Goblin heel turn went perfectly. After the villains were originally gathered I was thinking yeah yeah they'll bring in the other Spiders in a hyped up way but then bringing them in at that somber moment of grief and lifting up the mood of the film before lifting up Peter 1 was again, perfect for me. New best use of the great responsibility line as this movie really was MCU Spidey's big lesson learning film and yeah I loved it.

Woooof this is a really hard one because I love Mareanie/Croagunk/Salandit lines

someone who works at NME has a clarification

Hey! I run the gaming section at NME - without singling out our reviewer, he said that it was one of the worst games he's played in ages, and after some discussion on the score we settled on 1/5. I've not played it, but I stand by it.

Our thinking with scores is that a 2.5 would be an average score. We don't do half stars, because it's kind of fence-sitting to say a game is 5/10 IMO, and as Oisin didn't enjoy the game and thought that a couple of solid jokes and amusing enough gameplay weren't enough to make it worthwhile. It's one of the lowest scores we've given out in the year or so I've been with NME, but not every critics tastes will be the same.

By 1/5 they literally do mean "one of the worst games he's played in ages" so that's that. Which again to me just baffling because the review just does not read that way at all and has me questioning their experience.

I ain't got any skin in this game, if I ever do play SoP it likely wouldn't be for a long time and I currently see it as a big meme that very well could be trash or it could be enjoyable, from what's written in the actual review though it sounds a lot like my view of World of Final Fantasy, a game that has its charms but is frankly a of a slog to playthrough (but again being fair, the reviewers says he uses easy mode because bosses are unfair and poorly telegraphed... which sounds like that would be a factor in gameplay being a slog in his review).

good gameplay, great characters, dunno about the story (*edit* review itself adds a bit more about not enjoying the levels)

Reading the review itself I'm even more confused at mentions of being overcome with joy from campiness (ie. a sucker-punch)... that's not a descriptor I would ever use on a 1/5 but it's brought up a few times. By the end it sounds like there was a lot there to enjoy but overall the experience felt lacklustre, which yeah I can relate too as mid but not awful.

If you're looking for logical reasoning consistency among anti-trans propaganda you're doing it wrong, the only part they want to convey is othering trans people to demonize us and argue away our rights. The less direct the better but often they just can't control themselves from going further.

Like look at Rowling today rampaging about trans women and pretending to give a shit about online harassment, women's rights and the LGB community, then going on to quotetweet 200-follower accounts to sic her hate mob onto them, trying to frame all critics as whatever one-liners and low hanging fruit she can pick apart (mocking accounts she runs off the platform) while simply blocking and ignoring longer thought-out responses even by past colleagues. To finish it off for the night, trading I love yous with the leader of a religious extremist conservative fighting against women's abortion rights, calling homosexuality a sin, and even joking about burning them like witches. Nothing matters to these people in life beyond spreading their transphobic bigotry, they will say whatever nonsense and outright lie and insincerely use whatever they can just to demonize us.

Zygarde is a pokemon that you gradually build by finding all 100 of its Zygarde Cells scattered around the region, when you have 10% you can form it as the dog, 50% you have enough to form it as the serpent thing, then all 100 you can make Complete Zygarde. I enjoyed it as a pretty neat function.

It's interesting how Version A vs B favouritism seems to actually hold consistently for people who like one or the other when there's not really any reason they should. Like for me it's no contest A is almost always superior no question yet others who say B think the same and rarely does there seem to be a close mix.
