Been going through the last couple IDW TMNT hardcover collections, finally got to Issue 100. I already knew most of the major things that happen in that final story arc but was kinda disappointed in the way the resurrection of the Dragon played out. They spent a lot of time on cosmology that they really did not explain well and also ultimately barely mattered, and Splinter's sacrifice wasn't particularly impactful or shocking, it only happened because of an arbitrary rule they made up right that second. Based on what I know from seeing spoilers about what happens later in the series I was expecting Hob's mutagen bomb to be way bigger, not just some handheld thing he threw into a small crowd. I'm guessing that while it instantly mutated the people nearby, maybe it will have lingering effects in the neighborhood and mutate way more people over time?
The next hardcover comes out in a few weeks so I guess I'll find out soon enough. I know a lot of people got real mad about where the comic goes from here but from what I've seen it's mostly dudes mad that a trans woman is running the show. Up to this point I've liked the parts of the comic Sophie Campbell touched so I will probably be perfectly happy with it and in fact, I might end up liking it even more.

It didn't register in my head that it was written with a roman numeral and the NES ones aren't

The Arabic vs Roman numerals thing is only consistent on the western box art, the games title screens dont always follow this rule and in Japan the Game Boy games are titled Rockman World 1-5

Theyre all by the same company, Smilesoft. None of them were released in English, though a few of them have very low-quality bootleg translations. Pretty much all the games Smilesoft made were monster-collecting/raising, but they shut down when their president was arrested for child prostitution at a junior high school. Imagineer (the Medabots people) bought the rights to their catalog but I dont think they ever did anything with it

Kind of but not really. You're going against the bosses from the NES games with (mostly) aesthetically-identical levels and music. But the level layouts aren't the same as the NES games and the boss weaknesses are changed around. And the Wily stages are all brand new

Some of the marked shortcuts in the later levels skip necessary enemies and are nowhere near as apparently useful as they are in earlier stages.

Any case of that I've come across you can just shoot whatever you skipped from a distance, either right then during the skip or at some other point later in the level

Samantha got robbed on Arcade Pit, that song is originally from Final Fight so she should've at least gotten Close Guess partial credit. Wouldn't have been enough to swing the end result though.

Yeah the level "Bolt" was the first time I really felt this. It was so weirdly laid out I still don't know what the "basic" intended path is, I restarted it like twenty times before I found anything that worked at all and then the level hint revealed I was already doing what it suggested

Not every week can have a game as good as Neon White though!

I downloaded and played through Pocky and Rocky a while ago since the Japanese version had English support, its pretty good! A major downside for some though is that to play multiplayer you have to play through the full story mode in single player first

So does this have the expansions or is it just the original main story? If the former, what are they gonna do when more expansions come out?
