I'm in a 1L program at 32 at FIU. I'm about 6-7 years older than most of the other students. I do my best to never speak with/engage with any of them.

So it's whatever I guess.

But....why?

I went back in my mid/ late 20s and I was happy we had some programs that allowed me to be with older adults instead of "traditionally aged" students.

I feel like I discover new places where I hurt every year.... anybody else feel the same? I wish I could have been stuck at like 24 forever

People, no matter the gender, aren't at their physical prime at 18. You can't be at your physical prime when you're developing.

The body of both men and women start to decline after 25. The body is developed at 20.

Let's say a 18 years old meet a 12 years old neighbor. But they start dating 6 years later. You would not find it weird? A 21 years old meeting a 27 years old in some concert or something would be fine though.

I think americans often forget that drinking age is 18 in most of the world. I had 100% of adult rights at 18 where I live.

I think there's a difference between finding someone that age attractive and making a move. I don't mind dating younger, but i am getting close to twice their age. I feel like at my age I should date someone at least 23/25 if I am with someone younger.

Way too many 18 years old live at their parents house. They lack life experience and since it's the first year they can legally drink, tons of them only care about getting busted in bars.

It depends on the context. When I was in high school, one of my friends had been with her boyfriend through all of high school.

But he turned 18 when she was still 16. He didn't want to get arrested, so he waited until she turned 18. I don't think it was creepy in that instance, just overly cautious.

This is why most areas have romeo and Juliet laws. Otherwise almost every high schoolers would be in jail

If you are 19 and live in a place with no romeo and Juliet law, no. If you are a 30 years old who befriended someone before 18 and when they turn 18 you make a move, you will lose a lot of respect from most people. I am sure you can figure out why.

People very rarely attribute these things to themselves. It doesn't mean they don't fit the description.

It's not been straw-manned though. Incel doesn't just mean involuntary celibate and hasn't for a long time. It's a label that an enormous group have chosen for themselves and that group is judged for their behaviour.

I have a friend has hasn't had sex for ages. I'd never dream of calling him an incel, because he's not. He doesn't identify with that culture in any way, shape or form.

Calling people like that incels and then pointing out that they aren't hateful people, then using that to claim that incels aren't that bad is bullshit.

I am pretty sure the majority of incels are pathetic losers who never go outside even though a few of them comitted atrocious crimes. I do agree they are worse than FDS just for that though. 23 and 24 is not an unusual age to go back to college or university. I litterally lived with my brother and his girlfriend in my late 20s when I decided to go back to school. Rents are expensive
