It's a bad argument that falls apart at any scrutiny. Their argument is that racism needs power to be racism. First of all, that's ridiculous, and most people realize that.

Second of all, that would imply a white subordinate could not be racist to their black boss because they don't have power over him, and it's only racist if the black boss is racist to the white subordinate.

I realize they are saying it has to be systemic power, but it just doesn't hold up in day to day life.
