Ended up quitting around the time mum passed away. Ended up ending my run there. Until 18 months later, when I had a PSP and had worked out how to transfer my save to a PSP compatible format, along with using my PC to back up the disc (the disc drive there was a lot better than my PS2 with CDs). Of course, it was 18 months later, so beyond remembering that a village with windmills was involved in the current part of the quest (something I still remember years later), I was utterly clueless.
