This. I'm sick of people wanting immersive experiences when at the end of the day nothing beats cycling through menus, repeatedly pressing a single button and slowly watching a number increase over the span of hours.

I can't remember if it was the FF16 devs that said this but I remember a developer recently saying that they opt out of turn based combat because it wasn't immersive and I fucking hate that shit lol

Just watching gameplay footage. It looks like game pieces move around the map, followed by the same cutscene over and over.

Many SRPGs have a large selection of varied skills and animations to make it a little less monotonous, but from what ive seen of FE that isnt the case.

Well FE characters aren't supernatural beings that shoot 18 different colors of lasers and can casually move faster than light. There are only so many ways you can swing a sword/axe/spear lol

Honestly, every region should have a big overarching world quest that expands every so often. The quests with Jeht solidified this opinion for me.

Sorry Teppei, but Jeht is my new favorite NPC

My expectations for character model are at their absolute highest for Varka and Capitano.

We've already seen Capitano but he was wearing his Fatui coat so it's hard to get a feel for how his body type is like, but I'm fully expecting Varka to be an absolute beast of a man.

Dehya's scalings are out and they're .... not great

HP% is basically useless on her unless you have her C1 and that's a pretty big deal seeing how HP% is her ascension stat.

These scalings can obviously change in the actual beta but right now, yikes

The 4 of them just hanging out in a bar playing the TCG is hilarious to me and idk why lol

Speaking of 3.5, I'm surprised by how little we know about Dehya and Mika considering that drip marketing should be in a day or two

I hear good things about these games, how is the plot?

It's decent but a lot of people consider it to have some of the lowest lows and highest highs of the series.

It's also the third arc in the Kiseki or "Trails" series which are all connected and take place on the same supercontinent. The first two Cold Steel games don't spoil much but the second two heavily spoil past games

Finished the Raiden story quest and that was surprisingly well written. Kind of assumed mihoyo was going to wiff the landing, but felt like a solid way to resolve that entire arc.

EDIT: Apparently girl with the apple and Not Yanfei are Mondstadt characters, not confirmed but Not Yanfei definitely has Mondstadt like clothes (her hat is basically a different version of Klee's hat, feather and everything)
