Only with quincy stuff rather then hollow. In hindsight there were actually a lot of hints throughout the series that foreshadowed it. Off the top of my head the ones I remember is Ichigo absorbing a Menos cero or the fact that Rukia only meant to give Ichigo half her power but he basically took all of it.
