This is just from like ~2010 onwards and is based on what I can remember in this particular moment. Chances are I erroneously forgot tons of great movies I saw, and I intentionally omitted a lot of box offices successes. A decent bit of these got serious Oscars traction but I don't take the oscars seriously as an institution and hate a good number of films they've propped up

If you believe film is "worse" or some dumb shit I don't know what to tell you. There's a lot of interesting stuff out there that's well written/directed/acted. I'd definitely qualify some successful films in this category - I liked both GotG, Infinity War, Joker, etc, but the solution to a lot of popular movies being drivel is to actually seek movies out lol

Not intending to jinx it. The issue with the Boebert race was that actual data models suggested Boebert would fare fine and no serious analysts were calling it against her so quickly. In this case, analysts & experts seem to agree this is quite a bad situation for Lake.

The quick rundown: There's a lot of mail-in ballots & drop offs and Maricopa County releases them in batches. Kari Lake's team has been insistent these would be very good for her; many of them haven't been, and the excuses began to pile on, until tonight's 97k drop from a lot of red precincts gave her only 54% of the vote batch when she needed at least 57%. She remains behind by about 26,000 votes, with more good numbers likely for Hobbs from Pima County and Lake's drops being well under expectations for three nights in a row.

Hasn't been called since it will be close and Hobbs' lead will likely shrink, but Friday and Sunday's drops were pretty devastating for Lake, with them elimination Finchem & Masters entirely. Betting markets were cautious on this but odds have gone from 80-20 Hobbs' favor to 95-5 on PredictIt and 97-3 on PolyMarket. I would imagine the only protracted race in AZ at this point will be the AG race since Hamadeh is faring the best.

51 will be determined by the GA runoff. Hard to say how it goes; Warnock would've cleared if not for the 50% floor, and the GOP probably won't invest much into Walker. Should lean Warnock, but turnout might be poor.

Ultimately even if Lake/Hamadeh win, I do think it's important the voting base rejected nutjobs like Finchem. As much as I hate McCain, his legacy of "moderate" Republicanism definitely held influence in creating a barrier against shitty, awful candidates that are basically just one hair removed from being neo-Nazis
