In the scenario presented, the person with the tattoo definitely sees "cis" as a negative. Just as if someone called a black person a "black MFer," we'd assume they were racist because "black" is presented as a negative.

When DeSantis runs next year, everyone needs to know what they're voting for and what they're voting against. Nobody should be able to start an argument, "He's not racist. He's just..." Everyone should know the kind of man he is and, for those of us who oppose racism, the need to prevent him from becoming president. I would say the Flash movie is incredibly reliant on what happened before and what will happen next just from the nature of the story, and it's going to lead absolutely nowhere. It's essentially a part 2 that will never get a part 3.

They literally say the Flash film will be a catalyst for this change. So it's not pointless at all.

This is the real problem people have without realizing it. Hell Feigie has admitted that the first post credits with Thanos wasn't even meant to mean anything, it was literally just thrown in as an Easter egg kind of thing. They hadn't decided where they were even taking the MCU at that point, yet people talk about how interconnected phase one was and how you could clearly see the direction. It is so absurd.

There's a lot of revisionist history when it comes to the MCU. It's a victim of its own success.

You can blame Netflix for not creating an environment where a good show can easily succeed but it's really silly when people act like Netflix cancel shows with no reason or logic behind it.

This. It's not like we have visible metrics to really judge like television shows in the past. Common sense should tell anyone companies like money, so odds are very much against them cancelling successful/profitable shows.

the writing has gone downhill too. Avengers was a hit because it was mostly pg-13 action mixed with some humor, it was a new formula. Now look at one of the only remaining characters: Thor. Ragnarok was amazing, and it still had the trademark humor. But Thor: love and thunder was basically a comic relief movie and the humor felt too dumb. They actually handled the she-Thor part quite well, but the sense of humor in most things was too dumb.

And yet L&T did just as well as the previous Thor films. So there's been no drop in ticket sales/interest.

the only movies that have gone well are legacy characters from phase 1 like doctor strange or black panther or spidey, because spider literally had the backing and history of 3 different spidermen across 2 movie studios and 20+ years of moviemaking , but do you really see a the amazing riri Williams movie doing that well?
