Arby's: Classic Crispy Chicken Sandwich: I'm not sure but I feel like online Arby's has one of the worst reputations amongst all the fast food restaurants. Maybe the people who dislike it or simply loud, but I don't get it. Arby's is (hilariously) my mom's favorite restaurant. I usually have to convince her when I say we can go out anywhere that I mean like, real restaurants to sit down in. That said, I really like their food generally. They actually had a great burger released a little while ago and obviously if you're in the mood for roast beef, no one else really has one. When I was a kid I would always order their "Big Montana", which isn't around anymore but was just a bigger sandwich I think.

I've had their chicken sandwich in the past; and I was expecting it to be awful because it certainly used to be. Thankfully, they have upgraded their chicken since last time I ordered it. They tend to use way too much lettuce but it was more subdued this time, and not the way I remembered it. Which was good. Flavor wise it was decent I'd say, not at all a bad one.

I think every character has a group of people who think they're lame. Sephiroth is super popular; it's just that a lot of people who have him in their top 5 are usually busy pushing along something else instead. He just would need the right cards to fall to have a great run, or even win.

I agree with this. She's my legit favorite FF character and I love that she's getting more support these last few years but every single day is just let's hate on Aerith after the round ends and it's exhausting

At least you don't have to suffer through these rankings people like to do where your favorite is like always on the bottom or just above "I don't know these characters"!

Bojangles: Bo's Chicken Sandwich: I wonder how available Bojangles is outside of the south? A brief search says they've expanded into places like Ohio and New Jersey, and good for them. I feel like they have something unique to offer the fast food world and up until recently, I would have had nothing but good things to say about them. Unfortunately, a lot like Genny I've had a bad run with various locations nearby. I remember going once and not only had the signature Mountain Dew they carried for years been discontinued, but they didn't have their sandwich that day OR their own sauce. How can a restaurant not have their signature sauce?

They must still be out because there was literally just a dollop right in the center, and only on one side. Bottom bun was completely blank and void. It's a shame because even though it was a little dry, the chicken taste was quite good and unlike any of the other sandwiches. There's a strong black pepper flavor in the sandwich itself; which I guess makes sense since Bo's does not actually have a spicy sandwich. I wouldn't call this a spicy sandwich either though, it just had this little black pepper finish I thought was nice. Just a shame they didn't put anything else on there with it...

Ramza was completely awful prior to Contest XVIII outside of a handful of appearances. He went on a 5 contest spree of not even making the top half, sometimes by a staggering amount. The "poor Ramza" thing is a meme because of all the poor performances. He has managed to pick up dedicated savers now but I'd still hardly call 3 top 20s out of 11 chances since the change to 100 characters a "titan".

Like if my favorite ever did manage to make the finals and lost, I'd just know it was because he's a polarizing character a lot of people actively dislike. Support your favorite by all means, I always have and will. I just don't get why you keep inventing this false logic about why she lost.

Yeah, I feel like that was a flawed nomination. Why was Ash Ketchum just not nominated instead? Certainly he could have done better, with all that content and an actual personality.

Sonic: Crispy Chicken Sandwich: Sonic is a favorite place to head for their beverage menu mostly. I will get the coney if I do order food here usually, because getting a hot dog that's fast food is a novelty most restaurants just don't offer.

I had never had their chicken sandwich... and I will make sure I never do again. I feel like I should have ranked it lower, again. It was food and all, but the taste of this sandwich was just disgusting. There's a very mechanical flavor to it... best way I can describe it. Perhaps it was just this location having old oil or something, I have no idea really. It just didn't taste much like chicken despite resembling it. They've also made no effort in adapting to modern chicken sandwiches, this was a McChicken level size patty almost. But even the most mayo ridden McChicken could have topped this. Just gross.

Ugh.

This franchise I swear. I feel like The Conjuring on a whole outside of like Annabelle Creation and the first two films is such a wasted opportunity. This film was far better than the first one, but by the end I was super frustrated at it.

Why does this movie have no balls? Why was the kill count just 3? Like seriously, The Nun itself is one of the best looking modern day horror villains. It's spooky and there's definitely something there; it sells itself. Like when they killed the delivery boy early on, I was like "wow, the Conjuring universe with balls?!". Then that was like the last kill outside of the headmistress lady. All the girls survive. Both nuns and Frenchie, the girl and her mother. I mean come on. Why make your film disrespect your villain this much, especially after the cool moment when she actually gets the relic? I'm just so frustrated that a decent movie can't be a great one. I don't know who is writing this shit.

All in all... it's FINE. It shouldn't be though, it had the potential to be more and wasn't. Ugh. It has a largely great atmosphere and just like the first one, I feel like the set design and all that was pretty great. Hire a better writer to make some real bangers next time.

Time for Nun II. Reviews are what you expect for this franchise at this point; hard to judge these films based on their RT scores. We'll see!

I don't know why anyone would care about FFIX's Cid.

Mog from that same game almost made the top half. Cid could probably do that if there was a Year of Cids, but only that. Basically no one has any inherent strength. If Blank couldn't perform well I don't think any of those others can either.

?????? really should be allowed if black mage and red mage from FF1 are. They are both the same thing, playable interchangeable characters with no name or dialogue.

I've made this argument for years to no avail. The FF1 characters were always just proxy entrants for 8BT, which is not a valid source material. For whatever reason though each host has always been really tough on the Ghost.

I could see Fabool being able to do well enough in a year of Cid entrants if that ever took shape, he has a fair amount of screen time and you even get to play as him kinda. FF9 probably has plenty of potential with a remake, far moreso than I could see out of 8. Even with a remake of 8, they'd really have to expand the roles and personalities of the supporting cast for them to be at all interesting.

The thing is, that if it really was going to be Noob Saibot he'd actually be Scorpion, technically. It really depends on how you view your favorite character I guess; Bi-Han is already in the game after all.

Well I think it's important to remember Jessie's game got a remake and none of these others have (or ever will in certain cases). We'd probably have to wait and see if 8, 9 or 10 get remakes in the future to start wondering if characters that haven't made a contest yet would really make any noise. Expanded screen time/story, voicing and updated models go a long way. The only other chance of strength is meme status or circumstance, such at Ktjn's success. It's not really something that can truly be predicted well.

FF1: I can't imagine there's any untapped potential here. If the idea is to pick the strongest, then I just dunno. Former juggernauts who clearly relied on 8BT strength don't even make the contest, so any sort of power that would lend FF1 clearly is a product of a bygone era.

FF2/3: I imagine these games aren't ones most people have even played. FF3's remake was not well received; I feel like one of those characters made it once but then was booted? Not sure.

FF4: Yang's Wife, I guess?. For all the discussion about how, and it's been many many years now, she's never garnered interest in nominations. Typically if people think a joke is worth it, they wouldn't wait like a decade to pull the trigger on it.

FF5: No chance I can see.

FF6: ?????? has good potential, should it ever be allowed (I'd lean it should be personally but I can see the argument against). I feel like 6 is the first game in the series with a cast deep enough to support double digit entrants at once, but at the same time 6's days of being a powerhouse in SMFFFC are seemingly over. A lot of the best playable characters don't even make the game.

FF7: With the remake, you could technically have some potential here. Shinra staff or perhaps Biggs (though I feel like if people cared enough about his story arc he'd have been in by now. If he plays a bigger part in the next chapter, it's possible still though). Once the remake reaches other parts of the game you have potential out of people like Bugenhagen as well.

FF8: Without a remake any nomination is just another Fury.

These are some really bizarre choices/opinions.

He may not get a reveal. He's definitely in the game and all but to be the one character with no trailer would be a little sad.

At least Garik's legacy isn't what I assume to be the only character to debut in a contest, finish in last, and then never return. I'm convinced that raytan didn't play a lot of these games, even the weirdest weirdos of you all wouldn't have so many strange opinions on multiple different games. Remember what he put in from Tactics and what he did not.

He put Buddy, Garik and Leblanc in there in Contest IV, but Paine not until contest V.

I wager he never played X-2 at all.

Dairy Queen: Original Strip Sandwich: Dairy Queen is a fun spot, can't go here TOO much though or else you'll become unhealthy in a hurry. It would be tough to choose my favorite "shakes" restaurants; there are a lot of good ones. You can't go wrong with a Blizzard though.

You can, however, go very wrong if you order this sandwich. Much like Genny I feel like I initially ranked this too high, because having to finish the sandwich later as leftovers was a reminder of just how bad this thing was. After having a lot of good to great sandwiches all in a row, biting into this was a rude awakening. The chicken, if you could call it that, was so hard and mostly breading. So not only is it not a chicken fillet, but the tenders were nearly inedible. It was bad... I mean I guess it's food. But there's just nothing good to say about this one. I wish I had ranked it lower, but I guess I'll stand by my score.

Hardee's: Hand-breaded Chicken Sandwich: I'll admit to not knowing the full details on the difference between the Superstar I'm familiar with and its relative on the western side of the country; different sources seem to say they're basically the same and others swear they are different. Obviously, living in Atlanta we're sampling Hardee's brand of chicken here, so if the experience is actually different at Carl's Jr., then we can't be held accountable!

Hardee's has changed their chicken a lot over the years. I remember a time as a kid that Hardee's actually just sold fried chicken ala KFC, but I think those days have come and gone. Today the menu has a sandwich and tenders, very similar to any burger based restaurant. I feel like they've changed their chicken sandwich several times too, though typically even though I like Hardee's on the whole, I don't find myself around it often enough to try every new item they roll out. The sandwich of today really surprised and impressed me though, which I was not expecting. This was yet another large chicken fillet and it did really taste like it was "hand-breaded", whatever that means in terms of fast food. Very nice!

Zaxby's: Signature Sandwich: Zaxby's is a favorite of mine to hit up when I'm wanting a lot of things. Probably one of my favorite overall fast food restaurants they always have great quality control when it comes to what they serve.

The best way to describe their sandwich is imagine if someone told all the other restaurants that Popeyes had a hit item on their hands and they needed to follow suit. Zaxby's took this in the most literal way possible, because I do feel like their sandwich is a very close mimic at what Popeyes had put out at the time. Which is to say, it's a very very good sandwich. It's probably one of the top 2 or 3 biggest pieces of chicken you'll get across the board, and it's very tasty to boot. It's dressed with their signature sauce, which is pretty similar to Raising Canes' sauce I think. Both of those sauces are probably my favorites from respective chicken restaurants. Just about flawless.
