Yes. I believed it was a full remake but it's separated by story events/chapters and there's no actual overworld exploration. The gacha, from what I can tell, is for weapons and costumes, which are largely inconsequential for progression. I've heard from some that the gameplay is actually really fun though.

Might as well try it at least, it's free. I don't like gacha stuff but I just don't involve myself with it.

No planned DLC before launch, I believe was the intent. They wanted to give the idea that it was a complete package at launch.

Edit: There's also a free update out now, they added some character skins and weapon transmog.

The thing that got me is they advertised around 1,000 planets and then said 90% of them are barren. And from some footage I've seen they are quite literally barren, unlike the exaggeration you'd usually see when someone says an open-world game is barren. But you can set up stuff to mine for resources, but if that's all you can do what is even the point of being able to land on them and explore?

And actually the more I look at that picture that was posted the more it falls apart, lmao. I'm not even an artist at all and I see stuff like the supposed "Japanese lettering" being a melted, gibberish mess (especially whatever the heck's supposed to be on the building on the right), the character's body proportions being off, no proper shadowing that makes sense, I can't tell where buildings end and begin, the buildings look melted in spots, most background characters are blobs with no head, etc.

You can pretty much tell instantly what is AI-generated if you know what to look for. This is AI-generated because there's inconsistencies a human artist wouldn't make. Lots of people also go for a generic "beautiful" prompt which always makes AI art look the same at a glance.

Anyway, on the topic...the Switch eShop is generally just overloaded with pure shit with only a few gems here and there, so I'm not surprised they're accepting AI-generated games or games with AI-generated art.

Also I blame Danganronpa V3 for making Claire de Lune such an emotional piece for me, I started outright crying when it played.

I've never had a movie give me such a wide range of emotions throughout the whole thing, and despite it being longer than 2 hours I never felt bored at any time. What a fantastic movie.

I'm not to big a fan of status afflicting characters since usually theie main gimmick ends up overly balanced and you're left wondering what the point even was for giving them one.

With FANG the poison effect was meh and felt pointless, but at least with this one they give an extra condition to poisoned characters (if you hit them again with a poison attack they explode leaving them vulnerable to a combo). So it's a little more interesting I think.

Micromanaging workers like this feels very much like slave labor... Being afraid that every single action you take is closely monitored, having to walk on eggshells to make sure management doesn't find any reason to fire you or write you up for the smallest thing or if you're "underperforming" just sounds completely awful.

And no, I consider myself a hard worker. This still sounds like a nightmare. If management decides they want to get rid of someone they WILL abuse something like this. They already do it manually, this just makes it 100% easier for them.

I suppose, but I'm getting very tired of "let's announce a game even though we barely just started development." Especially when it's literally just a title drop teaser with no gameplay. Makes fans wait for like 5 to 6 years for the game so there's no point.

It's hilarious that they "announced" it like 2 years ago and are only now starting to develop it. Why not just wait to announce it later?

The internet gives people more courage to point and laugh at stupid people though, so while ignoring is the best course of action, it's not gonna happen.

Possibly, though I haven't found any that particularly focused on the music aspect. Also yeah it would probably be an auto-runner in disguise.

Basically always moving, you just have to do jumps, attacks, etc. to progress through the level and the music helps with the timing. Basically like the Rayman Legends music levels only for an entire game. Would that kinda wear thin?
