Yeah there's definitely that reaction from some. I remember hearing that if a Japanese person says your Japanese is good, then it's not good lol. But if they ask something along the lines of "How long have you been speaking Japanese" or "How long have you been living in Japan?" that might mean that they recognize that your speaking ability is very advanced and on their level.

Yep, annoys me for the same reason. My wife is Chinese and taught herself English and Japanese. Would a video of her speaking fluently at a restaurant in Japan or America get millions of views? Probably not.

I should post a video of me answering e-mails at work. "Foreigner writes fluent Japanese work e-mails!"

Whenever I speak Japanese to a Japanese person, I can see the surprise in their faces, but it lasts a few seconds and I don't let it linger. Instead I'd like to practice my Japanese more and get to know the person, not revel in the fact that I surprised someone by learning their language.

Israel and Zionists literally lack empathy. I could fill a whole topic with how their people, and even their government have the most disgusting ideologies towards not only Palestinians, but any non-Israeli.

Aside from a few Youtubers I've seen, it kind of annoys me.

Most of them are usually white Youtubers who "shock" East Asians or other races with their skills in the language. But when you think about it, all of the other races can speak English, their own language and sometimes even one or two more.

I'm more impressed by a lot of people I've met who aren't white that end up speaking multiple languages flawlessly. I know a Taiwanese girl who was qualified in four different countries as a solicitor, and knew 8 languages, pretty insane.

Edit: Don't get me wrong, being proud of learning another language isn't what I find weird. Its the fact that they film reactions and post it, that's kind of weird to me.

I use adblocker simply because I hate ads. And I'm sure adblockers will only become more advanced just like they always have. Yes, Google has the resources of a corporation, but they're going up against every programmer in the world who has an interest in making adblockers better lol.

I remember having so many female friends in uni, I think our law course had 75% females for some reason. One time we went to an indian restaurant and I was with around 6 girls, all of them pretty good looking.

The beginning was fine, there weren't that many people there. However as the night went on more groups started to come in, mostly groups of guys. One of the girls was taking pictures and I had two of my closer friends literally sit next to me with my arms around them. At this point I could literally FEEL the eyes on me from a lot of the guys. The people in that area were known to be pretty rough, and I saw pure spite from a few of their faces.

At this point I wasn't enjoying the attention at all, and one of my closer friends saw this and asked the waiter to move us to a part where there weren't any people. I've done this a few times and its not really that fun unless there is at least another guy there.

Also absolutely love her haircut. That style is a staple for her.

I remember hearing the underground hype around 3 and 4 and people were saying it was like actually going to Japan. You could go do karaoke, find a hostess bar, etc. it was super realistic to the actual streets and stores. so it was people living out their fantasy.

I've actually been to Japan and Kabukicho several times, the games pretty much got it spot on.

Well... a prequel made the series less intimidating for me.

Same with me too. It was a starting point for a lot of us. Not to mention a damn great game. I guess they capitalised on that in the perfect way with kiwami as well.

Erm no? It started getting hugely popular around Yakuza 0. The only one that is turnbased was Yakuza 7 (like a dragon) and that was relatively recent.

Edit: Just for reference, we've had Yakuza 0, Yakuza 6, Kiwami, Kiwami 2 and all the remasters from 3 to 5, and also Judgement before it ever went turnbased lol.

Tbh this isn't a skin colour issue (at least not with the sane people). It's happened before when a main character got shafted. Remember Joel? Even way back then when Snake was replaced with Raiden, the outcry was huge in the fanbase >_>

I intended to watch Ai's movie Sayonara Debussy, but ended up watching the 2016 one instead by accident.

Kind of a shame I had the twists spoiled for me now (They were pretty significant) but it was a really good watch nonetheless. The main actress was cute as well, I'll check out her other movies.

The way they did this game was with constant power ups, like DMC or Dragonball lol.

Also I really do hope Peter stays the MC, I just like him more. And Miles costume should be binned, whoever thought that thing up should be fired.
