I have a cross on my upper right arm (that will also get covered up in the semi near future, and a phoenix that goes from my upper left arm to almost halfway down my wrist. I plan on getting another tattoo to finish off this arm as soon as a figure out a design I like.

I proposed to my wife after 9 months, which was far quicker than even I thought I would. I always told myself 3 years at a minimum, enough time to get through the honeymoon phase, have some fights, see how we handle and grow from them, and really just determine if the compatibility could endure forever.
It'll never not be a gamble; people change. But I was always one who dated to find a wife and not for casual hookups. I proposed at 26, she was 31, we both knew what we wanted so that took a lot of work out of it from the start. We both have changed since then, but for the better, and in ways that compliment each other. Some aren't so lucky. So when I decided I wanted to propose, I went to a department store and bought a ring as she described in the dream. I tied it to our cat's collar along with a little love note I wrote referencing the "ring of her dreams." When she found it and read it, I told her it was her engagement ring and I wanted to marry her.
What I wasn't expecting was that she would like the ring. I had her real ring in my pocket. I bought the other ring intentionally too big so when I put it on, I would comment on that and tell her to try this other ring on (her real one). That all went according to plan, except she thought I was playing a joke on her.
