I have more power in real life than I do here. That's not an incentive for me in the slightest, nor do I really feel like I have any "power" here. I volunteered simply because I have zero drive or desire to create a functional guide for any game, but I wanted to be able to provide some service back to a site I've regularly visited for over two decades. I felt this was the best way for me to do so.

Not being paid is easily offset by the fact that I can contribute almost as much or as little as I please regarding my moderator duties.

This doesn't need a second topic. Everything that needed to be said was said in the first 500 posts.

Message board users may be the minority as far as overall population but I'm willing to bet they drive a hell of a lot more revenue than FAQ users

The flaw was in the very first sentence. He didn't buy the website, and though he obviously drives some decisions, some are out of his control and are controlled by corporate. That is the nature of these things. Such as 261 closing which for whatever reason some still pin on him even after being told otherwise.

I have a bone spur from the worst impacted tooth poking through my gum a bit. I find myself flicking it with my tongue from time to time. It gets a little sore here and there but it should resolve itself within the next few weeks. But yeah those first two weeks were unpleasant. No dry socket though so yay.

Yeah I vastly underestimated my recovery time. I'd always heard the older you get, the worse the recovery. I thought I'd bounce back in a couple of days. It took me out the whole week, and I had to take meds for two weeks because of my jaw soreness.

I had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled last month. Whole procedure took about an hour. I had two impacted. I wasn't knocked completely out, just in a twilight state and I only remember them working on the last one. I was convinced they forgot to do the other three.

I'd heard horror stories about dry socket, which was partly the reason I put off the extractions for as long as I did. I don't smoke and very rarely drink so those weren't a problem. I didn't have an appetite for like a week after. They gave me Vicodin, but honestly Tylenol and ibuprofen worked better. The soft food diet sucked, and one of my teeth was so impacted it remained sore post op much longer than the others. I was also careful to rinse out my holes after eating, and rinsed with saline multiple times a day.

The Rob Lowe one from a few years ago was great but mostly cause it was really a roast of Ann Coulter, who was one of the "Roasters". Everyone spent most of the episode shitting on her.

They don't make them anymore, but the last few weren't that great. Once all the actual comedians stopped doing them and they started getting random celebrities, it went downhill fast.

As others have already stated, this is far from the second wave. Our COVID census is back in double digits for the first time in months. That being said, I don't believe it will get back to the numbers we saw a couple of years ago. At least I hope not. I don't know if I have another round of that in me.

My local grocery stocks them in the world foods section, separate from the rest of the pop.

I don't know if it's standard everywhere, but the Chipotle by me also sells them.

I proposed 11 years ago. I bought the engagement ring and the band as a matching set for a little over $2500 if I remember correctly. She loved it. She would have been upset had I dropped a ton of money on something like that.

The thing that annoyed me most story-wise was the confirmation that Rex banged three different women who were all friends with one another and apparently were cool with it. It just seemed forced and unnecessary, my disdain for Rex aside.

Not quite. The song was Eminem's attempt to squash all the beef with other people he had at the time. In the music video for the song, his best friend Proof played a guy in the video that got gunned down. A few months later, Proof himself was gunned down.
