If we really want to talk insanity, it's the rush to 100% lithium-ion battery powered cars instead of pushing PHEVs. PHEVs would take most drivers to all electric for practical purposes while not requiring massive infrastructure investments in EV chargers and fast charging. In addition, PHEVs are cheaper and wouldn't require mass subsidies. We could make every new car a PHEV and not put such pressure on supply chains.

Most SUV buyers are getting crossovers as alternatives to sedans. They want something smaller than a truck or mini-van but more room than a car. The wagons would be an alternative but again, they're luxury cars and they're built on longer platforms

You do know most Mini-Vans can lower the 3rd row of seats to give you more internal space if you want a similar configuration to a SUV, right?
But again not the same. And looking at a Honda Odyssey I don't see where it has any real benefits over a SUV. The Honda Pilot gets marginally worse combined mileage (20 vs 22 mpg) but it's also cheaper.

I'm struggling to understand the aversion to SUVs given these are all very similar vehicles.

Other than the Subaru these are all pretty expensive European cars. You can get a SUV for under $40k. One of the cars on this list is $120k. Wagons are a very niche market. We don't get mass market wagons. These are only alternatives for people already buying luxury vehicles

Mini Van can carry more cargo internally, is smaller & lighter than a SUV.

A sedan can work if you get the right one.

A SUV is less efficient than a equivalent Mini-Van.
The layout of a SUV works better for animals than does a mini-van. Whether a mini-van is lighter or smaller than a SUV depends on the make and model. A sedan will not work with a child in car seat and dogs. A station wagon could work but they aren't sold in the US.

That sounds like Pease pudding to me, or Jamie Oliver's recipe for "Mushy Peas"*, which I don't think fans of the usual fare would be pleased with.
Where as for "Mushy Peas" historically AFAIK:
"Detective work by the British Edible Pulse Association revealed that the birth of marrowfat peas as we know them dates back to the late 1800s. Marrow peas were being referred to from the 1820s. In 1898, an article for the Royal Horticultural Journal on the history of garden peas in England states that in the last fifteen years a whole new business had been created in Holland of growing and marketing blue boiling peas(soaked peas).
These blue boiling peas were exported dried to England and sold in major industrial and mining towns. As a cooked winter vegetable they were a good replacement for fresh peas. Stalls selling them with butter and salt found a market with workmen early in the morning."
The recipe I described is medieval though. As described, marrow fat peas were made using dried peas imported from Holland, and the fat is basically used similar to the stock but adding a filler. Not in and of itself bad, but its historical antecedent is probably beans or peas cooked with ham hock, which is still common in the southern US. Mushy peas as served today would taste little like that, and seems to have more in common with the medieval practice of mashing some peas in order to thicken the food.

The peas I described go really well with fish and crusty bread by the way.

Mushy peas are a great example of processing ruining a food. The original mushy peas are garden peas boiled in water or stock with rosemary and thyme seasoning, drained, half the peas mashed up with a bit of the liquid and then it all mixed together. It isn't that green slop.

With huge TVs and home theater sound systems being as cheap as they are nowadays, most people will probably skip the theater and just watch them on Max 3 months later anyway.
They've actually had to make Max worse to help the cinema business lol. The WB film library is far and away the best library out there. They need to put more classic films on there. Why the hell can't I watch Adventures of Robin Hood?

My take: right decision for the wrong reasons. MS has every incentive to make COD and any title exclusive. The whole idea of "we wouldn't split up gaming communities" is silly. Yes they would. That split happens every console generation. The deal isn't anticompetitive because Sony or a third-party will make games to fill the gap left by COD.

Really, I find this pretty interesting, because I was under the impression that the five conservative justices (so excluding Roberts) were pretty gungho and locked-in about overturning the case.
Kavanaugh wrote a separate concurrence that basically justifies his decision to Roberts and Tony Kennedy. Kavanaugh was seen as likely to uphold Casey/Roe because Kennedy did, and Kavanaugh was hand picked by Kennedy as his successor. Reversing Casey tossed one of Kennedy's two seminal decisions (the other being same sex marriage) into the dustbin of history. That's also why Kavanaugh was seen as a vulnerable vote.

My theory is, the leaker thought it was going to be their big moment where an information is revealed, people will rise up after viewing it, and the protest would change the course of history.

We have plenty of successful examples of it in the relatively recent past, no reason for the leaker to think it wouldn't work again.
Except the entire conservative legal community went from calling for blood to ignoring it, and the investigation produced no result despite the Court having full access to the FBI if wanted.

There isn't a recent successful example of a leaked opinion changing the justice's minds.

Conservatives shut up about this when it came out Roberts believed he was swaying Kavanaugh prior to the leak
