There is no evidence of mixing with native egyptians, who were not black anyway but by this period were the same population as modern Coptic Egyptians. There's some indication that she may have had a distant Iranian ancestry from the time of Ptolemy I. There is no indication that she had native Egyptian ancestry. As noted, the ptolemaic dynasty went to Great lengths to avoid intermixing with the Egyptians. All historical evidence suggests that her mother was her father's cousin. It is possible that her siblings had a different mother, possibly a non-Ptolemeic mother, and that may be part of why Cleopatra was given considerable standing.

Why would they? While we don't know her full ancestry for sure, we know she stems from a Greek family known for marrying its siblings and cousins. The few depictions we have of her portray her as light skinned. The historian on Reddit that was linked to earlier in this topic even says "Cleopatra probably wouldn't have looked particularly dark skinned".

Her whole family in the documentary is depicted as black and in Egyptian dress common centuries prior. It's all a mess that has more to do with black Americans reimagining Egyptians as their homeland

I mean, I get people being upset. But the level of upsetness seems so ****ing disproportionate and I've never, ever seen people this angry when White folks play Egyptians.

It isnt until they drop dead. I think it is just having the majority that matters. Dems are fine with John Fetterman being in office. And ignore any cognitive issues he has for the same reasons since it gives the majority in Senate.

Fetterman is recovering and also won a relatively close election. Feinstein will only deteriorate further, and CA's jungle primary structure means there's no risk of a Republican winning

Hyena has openly spoken about having neurodivergence issues. She basically isn't able to live independently, or wasn't last she spoke about it. What she starts talking about there is how people used to post on WoT like 20 years ago (while avoiding banned swears). Because of her issues she doesn't really know when something is funny or not, when to stop, etc. She just knows people at some point found something like she posted funny, so to her it must still be funny.

There's just no historical argument for Cleopatra being black. A better documentary would have tackled the fact that sources on Cleopatra are biased, and Romans had a strong desire to paint her as a temptress a la Medea because doing so hid her political strength and blamed her for the Roman civil war between Octavian and Antony. It also helped delegitimize Caesarian. The real Cleopatra was a queen of Egypt who made alliances with Caesar and then Antony, which were to her benefit.

The thing about Nintendo is they tend to cycle through styles over time. Mario 64 replaced 2D Mario with collect-a-thon Mario. Mario Galaxy replaced the collect-a-thon style with more linear style. NSMB brought 2D back, and then the 2D influenced 3D Land/World. Then Odyssey brought back the collect-a-thon style.
