| ViewtifulJoe 11/07/23 9:01:33 PM #6 | I replayed 1 and 3 a month ago and I wish they'd just stuck with Superstar Saga's style of bros attacks. Keep the gameplay fast instead of having to sit there throwing mini stars at a big star every time.
If I remember right, PiT was totally dominated by the items. Shells that went for ages, copy flowers and the big fireball move. --- Still waiting on that third threat |

But I also watched some gameplay - the beginning and a part from later on - and it looked like a bunch of summoning other characters to attack for you. And is the rhythm thing actually fun? Seems kind of constraining if you have only attack within the windows where the game wants you to. --- Still waiting on that third threat |

It was big and silent and empty. It was open too, wasn't like Dark Souls 1 where they have you running down different routes and seeing what goes where. You also have to keep staring at your stamina circle in that game because if it runs out they have to nerve to make you move even slower than usual. Your weapons keep breaking too so every time you find a new weapon you aren't even happy because you know what's coming. --- Still waiting on that third threat |

The whole point of a Critic aggregator is that the average may be better reflective of reality than an outlier. You're criticizing Metacritic for trying to solve the problem you're complaining about.And the end result was a cult that worships the big number. I mean, MvC3 had Arthur, Viewtiful Joe, Amaterasu, and Rocket Raccoon in it; they could pull it off.They probably could. Maybe just make everyone's light normals knock Pikachu and Kirby slightly off the ground so they're at the right height to be hit by the rest of the combo. Kinda like Smash. But also, now that I think of it a lot of the Nintendo characters don't talk. There might not be a lot of fun interactions/win quotes between characters. If that meant a bunch of Xenoblade 1 characters though, I wouldn't mind. --- Still waiting on that third threat |

I wish I could Xenoblade 1 again for the first time.I used to say this about FFX all the time. Then I just about got it through Xenoblade 1. Except Xenoblade 1 was actually about something unexpectedly relevant to me at the time. Now I say what you said all the time. I'd like a version with Xenoblade 1 but with FFX's monster arena so the game can keep going on and on for ages. And either an expanded epilogue or more epilogues so we can play as the other party members after the ending. IceCreamOnStero posted... We were just starting to get along too. I found out about Dustia. I hunted some marks. I found this guy Montblanc who exists solely to tell me I'm doing great. I remembered some old in-jokes. My spicy take in all of this, is that I feel DDC has the weakest soundtrack out of all the main numbered games (outside of a few bangers like Thunderclouds of Magical Power and Raiko's theme)I give it to 13. With 14, I remember stages 1, 5 and extra pretty easily. Even if the stages felt disconnected at least the characters stuck out, which helps. 13, I really have to sit down and remember which characters were in that one and what their songs were. --- Still waiting on that third threat |
