I've said like three or four times that most of what I'm talking about doesn't really apply to the case presented in the OP. The premise I'm stating is that if someone would die without food, then yes, theft is defensible. I'm not defending this case of theft, just the premise that theft can be justified. I don't take any moral issue with someone stealing food if they need to get by if the theft in question is from a giant company. That being said, this doesn't really apply here, this seems like petty theft and can't really be justified regardless. I often dream lucidly or have extremely vivid dreams, so I could relay hundreds, but this is one of the ones that really stood out that isn't too esoteric/personal to seem weird. I was walking into my local movie theater, like the actual theater room, where stuff was dark. I walked up the steps and something odd was playing on the screen that looked kind of like how a 3D film looks like if you take your glasses off; colors were muted and progressively getting worse. Reality was kind of warping around the screen, too. I walked up the steps and I saw something that's still very, very diffcult to describe. It was essentially a silhouette of a person, but reality seemed to fade/decay around it. When I noticed it, it took a step down the stairs, and everything shifted with it like it was some kind of void/black hole but personified. I had this sensation that still really hits me to this day that I met something I was not supposed to see/know about and ran very fast. The dream kind of continued after this - there was a moment where I confronted whatever "it" was in a dark room, but I woke up when that happened and nothing has ever been as distinct to me as when I faced it on the stairs. I had to take care of my mother for nearly 4 years while she had heart disease, and while I know that simply isn't the same as this, a lot of people out there truly understand the feeling of watching a loved one deteriorate and the frustration, anger, sadness, etc. that emerge. You seem like an incredibly resilient person and I hope you take care because the months after can be a real rollercoaster. I'd definitely recommend some kind of project or game that's low stress to get into for however long you need, because having a fallback option in times like these is important. --- Enjoy movies and television?
