released an skeleton project on Github

with the end goal of

with the help of AI

https://github.com/ProjectUnifree/unifree
Use ChatGPT to translate .cs files into Godot scripts and Unreal 3D classes. Here is how sample translation looks:

launch.sh (or launch.bat on windows) is the main script that downloads Unifree code, installs a python virtual environment, installs dependencies and launches the main program

This is cool and all, but actually what toilet idea nonsense am I looking at? Chat GPT/AI cannot be used like this. Why does it need a python virtual environment? Write a parser and converter.

Why would you use AI to convert C# into gdscript, instead of using the C# version of godot?????

Weird

This is like writing a PS1 emulator, but instead of writing the emulator, you set up an AI and chatgpt in a way that might write a PS1 emulator one day

See even when they're trying to help CEOs are just total intrusive twits

Didn't know where to post this but I was talking about tech misinformation itt and here's another

https://twitter.com/ShitpostGate/status/1703876552507752806

People in comments actually think there's a conspiracy to make their games run slower because a sandwich model would (hypothetically) deform improperly (even though it wasn't designed to deform and never will), saying they should have used a program to generate the polygons automatically (they obviously did hence the unintuitive topology, meaning this is completely optimized to have as little polygons as possible)

Twitter Blue posters are actually just very low IQ people, Reddit is underrated and they at the very least usually get it right

That's... an understatement.

I take it the executive team has bought back their shares and are now entering the "damage control and good PR moves to inflate stock prices" phase of their plan?
Don't think they have a master plan, I still think you're mistaking stupidity for intentional malice.

An idiot CEO walks in the room and says the dumbest thing imaginable, and 50 engineers try to talk them out of jumping off the ledge, and every now and then they fail to do that. It's an example of why CEO's shouldn't exist.

From my experience, even in a startup, CEOs are fucking unbearable and have to be treated like toddlers ready to scream in a grocery store. It's like you went outside and found the first teenager you saw and made them your boss, except the teenager would probably be more reasonable.

I remember when I thought nuclear fusion was the key to interstellar space travel because tech science channels hyped it up like that.

Now that I understand the science from real scientists, nuclear fusion is like the least space efficient form of energy production and isn't going to fly us anywhere or even be used to produce energy at all, because the whole point is that it happens incredibly slowly to not burn out stars immediately, and the human body outputs like 100* more energy in heat than the sun does for the same amount of space.

So, uuhh, maybe we have made a lot of optimistic assumptions about the short term future of space travel

I can right click on my project in Visual Studio and add nuget packages. I could maybe even use JsonConvert in a non-Frankenstein way. I can add project references. I can build and do unit tests straight from the editor. Holy shit.

You can't just slap a C# sticker on it and call it the same thing.

Also, the whole editor is just faster and less laggy overall than Unity.

This is the case for any populist rhetoric. Both socialism and fascism suffer from being driven by populism.
The difference is that if a real socialist goes up against a fascist in an argument, 9/10 times the fascist will get humiliated, because a socialist is summarizing imperical evidence, and a fascist is telling white lies here and there to further the greater cause of "X", and "that's just how politics goes, the left does it too"

It's to the point where fascists just don't do debates with socialists. Socialists have a very hard time finding people to do real debates with. A debate with a socialist doesn't benefit a fascist.

A simple answer can be a sign of a simple person, while a person who cannot simply explain a difficult concept probably doesn't understand it.
I can explain all of politics with one word, power. When people say they don't understand or don't care, I tell them it's all about power.

I can expand on ideas, but I always start simple.

"Politics is a struggle for power."
"Politics is the interests of the wealthy fighting for power against the interests of the poor. The wealthy want to keep things the way they are because they simply do not want an environment where their lifestyles could possibly change."

Just keeping that in mind, it's easier to spot lies, and understand how things are working as a whole. A fascist will try to keep someone thinking it's about the Jewish elite enacting some grand conspiracy, or leftist ideas perpetuated by people who are just "well meaning but stupid". But if you keep in mind that it's all about power, you start to see why things like unions are inherently good, why lobbying is bad.

You could reread paragraphs from Karl Marx, but then Jordan Peterson could overwhelm you with a 30 minute essay on how the intolerant left wants your kids to be trans, and your viewer might not be able to tell them apart in terms of legitimacy just because it's so much, and Jordan is able to match you in terms of "sounding smart".

Btw, I'm not arguing for fascism. The main problem with them is that they're wrong/intentionally lying.

I just think socialists benefit greatly by simplifying every message to bite-sized levels that are really hard to poke holes in. That way your average person is going to digest them.

"Why do we have people taking 90% of the profit when we do all the work?"
"Single-payer healthcare exists in literally every other country and is better in every single measurable way"
