My niece came over a while ago and brought some of the newer ones with her and I read them out of curiosity. That always stuck with me and whenever I see barbeque sauce I think of that strip. I read the comics (some good, some bad), watched at least one of the cartoons (which I felt was alright at the time), the tv specials (which I still have fond memories of), and... I couldn't make it through the first live-action movie. And I've liked the merch. It was probably funnier than Garfield on average, but everything has hits and misses. The Far Side is absolutely adored, but most of the jokes didn't land, either. I was just Garfield trying to get on top of the fridge to the cookie jar and when he finally did, the fridge fell over on him. So after all that, he finally gets a cookie and it was Oatmeal Raisin.
