| yusiko 05/10/23 1:51:57 PM #10 | i like her new outfit in episode 2. it looks like something a real life woman would actually wear which makss it unique for a jrpg. anyway the real issue with shion in episode 2 isnt her design or her new awful voice but that she does inherent thunder damage so sword ethers dont work on her so she can target enemy weaknesses for massive damage which means she is only good when fighting M type enemies. against B and G types she is worthless. ziggy and chaos also have this same issue with ziggy doing inherent fire damage and chaos doing inherent aura damage so you use shion for M types ziggy for B types and chaos for G types shion is actually my all time favorite jrpg lead but man did it used to be hard to be a shion fan. the internet used to hate her with a passion 20 years ago if you said anything positive about her 30 people would pop up to tell you she sucks but more and more i see people reevaluating her character and is is much better received these days honestly one of the most interesting, complex and well developed leads in the genres history --- yusketeer |

Probably why 1 did a Phantom Menance. yes but episode 2 did so poorly that it killed the planned episode 4 5 and 6 but episode 3 was always intended to be the end of shions story arc episode 4 would have had a massive time skip and a whole new cast with only KOSMOS being in all 4 games so everything they wanted to resolve got resolved and the trilogy feels complete --- yusketeer |
