Basically, in November, you have 30 days to write 50,000 words! Anyone else gonna try?

I've tried three or four times but never finished. This year, I'm cheating by using an existing project. Currently around 11,000 words. On Halloween I'm going to note my current word count and just try to add 50,000 to it. (Maybe end up 65,000 when all is said and done. But it won't even be finished at that length)

I always have a hard time keeping a straight face during these encounters. Like some Jehova's Witnesses came by a few weeks ago and I was struggling to not laugh.

The most difficult time was being evangelized to in a Barnes and Noble, by two elderly men about "God the mother", and how this female manifestation of God was currently incarnated in South Korea.

My tongue was sore from how hard I had to bite it.

Duel Links feels a lot like the old meta because games can last more than three turns and can get pretty grindy.

Modern YuGiOh has been largely decided by opening hands for a while. It's ironic because the IRL format uses twice as many cards and life points lol.

If you want to try "IRL" yugioh, find a decklist you like and try to find people to play with casually. The new mechanics are actually really simple once you get over the initial learning curve.

Instead of evolution? It doesnt make sense for religion to replace evolution in the classroom. I'm a religious person, and went to a Christian High School, and tbh I would have preferred a more honest, comprehensive education on evolution at the time. It's an observable, natural process that's pretty important.

As an alternative answer to how different species came about? While I am religious, science has a pretty strict methodology that religion doesn't necessarily mesh with. It would be jarring to be learning about the passing on of genetic information and then have "alternatively, the book of Genesis poses this idea...". And in any event, I feel the Bible has far more important messages to be focused on than "what about dinosaurs?" Messages that don't really fall under the "science" label.

Tl;dr: The theory of evolution, regardless of one's opinion of it, is a vital piece of modern education. Religion has its own importance, but they fill two very different roles in society.

Wow, TwoDee. That sure is tough. You have my sympathies. I remember my old classes, and the essays were always the most difficult part. And two-hundred words? Thats insane. I could never imagine finishing such an insane work load in so short a time.

What kind of essay do you have to write? I remember in one of my English classes, we were told to write an instructional essay. Young and foolish, I chose to instruct the class on how to EV train a Pokemon. That didnt go over very well at all.

However, another essay was a bit more lax on structure, and we were only required to write about a goal we had. My goal was to get a hundred percent in Metroid Prime. This was like, ten years ago, mind you. (And I still havent beaten that game to one hundred percent completion. Oetokaeyo.)

English classes though, have always been the most interesting for me. Not because of the material, but the weird shit you hear. My first English prof would tell me she had a student whose essay was Why Hitler Was Right. Another English Prof was a bald, liberal lesbian. She had a daughter via

Every couple of years there's a scandal in the VG Journalism industry that rustles the internet's collective jimmies.

The one I always remember was Kane and Lynch getting a Gamespot reviewer fired. (And I'm pretty sure that's how GiantBomb got started, out of that fiasco)

"Gamergate" started as a reaction to the allegations of a woman using sex to pay off reviewers, which would be right in line with the traditional "rabble rabble corrupt journalism rabble" thing that always ends up happening. It just so happened that this time, it turned into a shitshow.

Bought it used years after it came out. I managed to endure Sonic's story and a few levels of Shadow before giving up.

There IS a good game in there, but it needed another six months of playtesting. The version we got sucked.

Also, heard someone say the retail version was literally a beta, and not the most recent build SEGA had available lol.

The article actually says that cancer cells utilize sugar for energy and become more aggressive.

It's a super-fuel for existing cancer, it doesnt cause cancer.
