the machine gun does ruin her natural DH unfortunately. Sparky still seems to be the better overall build unless you're a massive whale. the (T)DH cap is 300% too so between her 75% natural DH and Sparky's 50% DH, you're "just" needing 175% more. if you throw in Bartz' TMR (50%) and one of the 5* TMRs on this banner, you're at 275 - pretty damn close.

whenever Olive gets enhancements that should push her over. seems obvious that if anything's getting touched up it'll be her DH stuff.

and this is of course ignoring that Sparky is Lightning damage, whereas Machine Gun+ has no element. i mean yeah she can imbue fire on herself but it's less setup necessary for damage, especially after the last banner had the lightning great sword to go with it elemental bonuses. for now it just looks like she's once again just shy of making the top tier conversations, though at the same time that means she's continued to stay relevant in the meta for that long.

Technically speaking Sparky vs machinegun+ are farily even due to the relatively high damage variance.

I technically did pull Trance Terra and I can now do double Ultima +2 chains with Dark Fina.

That said William has Quake.
Elemental chain + 6* + DC spell + earth imperial should put beyond both you mentioned. It's Earth element Tornado on a 6* max unit.

Aileen enhancements when so I can 75% imperial that too.

After that I can only guess as is since she will most likely have an burst boost either from her enhancements, or from her 7*.

Looks like JP added a new apex healer. (Curaja/reraise. )

Santa Roselia 5-7*.

Adds break AoE removal, 80% AoE spr/def and break proof, counters, good regen for hp/mp.

Okay, been doing some experimentations.

If you happen to use my soloing Elfie for elite.

Always start with Clever Smile in all battles. (Everyone defends.)

First battle use Icicle Storm after that.

All other battles use Frost Fall, save for wimpy bonus monsters.

Use an elixir or turbo ether when appropriate. (Blood Maw.)

Edit: Not sure what to feel. Got Nyx off the freebie. First notable anything from them.

Loren is one of those odd units for us who is mostly for TMR-lite people pre-enhancements+7*. (And getting a chaining partner might not be the easiest.)

Oh yeah, I forgot he can dispel. And MP Drain as well, for the few fights that need it. And if all that wasn't enough, I just remembered he has a halfway decent counter rate, which is pretty much free LB Crystals. No one should argue with free LB crystals.

Anyone else remember when GL was convinced this guy was going to suck when they first saw his kit? People were so wowed by Rikku and Ramza Enhancements (lol) that any other support unit just seemed so bad in comparison.

His kit was so contradictive if anything.

So, I get that Zargle is jack of all trades support...but as a person who has Tillith, Marie, 9s, and Rikku, where would I use him?

I guess Role compression is a really good thing, however, so he might be on my main team unless I need to slot in my specialized people.

Also, for MP battery purposes... Ace and Zarg or Tillith and Zarg?

...now if only I could get a landu or his expy(besides the great ice waifu), I'd be pretty much set for the next few banners.

As long as the dps output matches or beats the devour turns.

You can slot him together with Tilith, unless you do something like Marie/Zargabaath/Ace. It really depends on how much you need to heal.

So... How do I use Ace and Zarglebargle?

Ace: Enhance everything. You can save his Devotion for later if you are low on resources.

Now Ace can be used for a few things once enhanced.

1: Great on demand instant mana battery instead of end of turn. Even with crappy luck you will still sate pretty much anyone not named GL Sakura these days.

2. If you use attacks involving fire/holy/thunder, then oh boy.... How do you like an on demand 75% imperil for all 3 for 3 turns with the press of a button? (Plus he might hit pretty hard if luck is with you to boot.)

3. LB finisher. 200% hightide, with 2 stones per turn. And 40% does have its moments even if you don't see them often.

Zargabaath in my opinon works better as support. He hit so low on the offensive side if you remember mine from the FF12 event even with good gear.

So, deck him out with a fire weapon, pump up his HP/SPR/DEF/MP as you see fit. Since I am not sure if you got another 5%+ mp refresh in some form, you might want to bring Ace with him. (Or have him rejuvenate himself every once in a while.)

Gameplan is to drop down Archadian Light(Do always check what it covers, I forget) for stats and immunties.

Bastion if you need elemental resistance.

Word of Law if you need a 20% mitigation. Or Righteous Sword for dispel. Hero Crest if you need one unit to get 100% all stats.

The most important thing is to manage his MP just like Tilith.

He is a mixed bag since you usually want great ones on demand rather than build towards them. (16 stones now. 20 when he gets 7*.)

And he doesn't get any boosting for limits until 7*. (+50% LB Fill Rate, +2 LB Fills Per Turn)

I would hesitate since CG Lid does it better.(Proper hightide, and cheaper than his. 60% ones to boot. Even freaking Tim does it well by comparison. 9S even. Kind of with set ups.)

And damn Ramza 7* can drop two 60% of your choice each turn for 5 turns.

I would list which other units you had in mind since I am a bit on the line hesitating with Cloud myself now as is since at best he gets little work now without Elfie's accessory+Kelsus. (And I am working towards Aileen's.)

These days it's enhanced Trance Terra, GL Sakura, Barbaccia and enhanced Emperor.

Ace is mostly a great support. On the side until 7* he can be used as a finisher with his LB.

Basically don't fret.

Play, summon as needed on good banners and hope for the best, versus stressing over 7* since there are less good banners now on average unless they introduce new stuff.

They are not going to appear until around late summer 2018 anyway, so at that point you can plan and see who you should upgrade based on what you got, since Gumi will most likely change some things up. (Plus it costs 3m gil for 7* awakening on top of a crap ton of exp despite you start at lv 100 to reach lv 120.)

It works like this.

Lightning 1#(lv 100) (master unit) devours Lightning 2#(Slave unit) to turn Lightning 1# into Lightning 7*.
Lightning 3# and Lightning 4# are devoured by Lightning 7* to produce her 170+ ATK STMR weapon.

Nah, I'm good.

Do keep in mind the Unit of Choice ticket pieces we will start collecting next year.

You only need 2 units for it to function, and playing getting off-banners are more manageable instead of every blue moon like before. (Which is why I wanted the list to track our exploits for an average.)

Unless you are afraid of gunning for that juicy 170+ atk super excalibur from Orlandeau 7* you are still good around this time of the year even without it. (However Omega will spit you out since it's a multi snorting duche on top of his fire nuke each turn if you are too slow once that trial drops around halloween.)

So everyone is on the same page in how they work.

Doublehand: Works in one weapon slot. Shuts off if anything is in the other one.

Example:

Sparky? A-okay.
Shield: Nope!
Zodiac Spear? Fixed Dice? Revolving sword? Very no-ooooooooooope!
Excalibur? Sure.
Second weapon? No-ooooooooooooope!

Source of Doublehand: Bartz, Sparky.

True Doublehand: Works in both weapons slots. Shuts down if a shield or second weapon is added.

Sparky? A-okay.
Shield: Nope!
Zodiac Spear? Fixed Dice? Revolving sword? Very a-okay.
Excalibur? Sure.
Second weapon? No-ooooooooooooope!

Elfie and Cloud are the last pieces for Olive's 300% ATK on top of lb stones per turn. She doesn't hit as hard these days(LV 25 lb still hurts if chained.) but her enhancements are getting closer.

Used a 10+1 ticket and 5k lapis.

Aria, rubicante, glauca, dark fina and william as notable new characters.

Guess i need to look up which are good in combat and which have tmrs to grab

William is sturdy dirtotto.

You need 2+.

DF is moth bag material until her juicy 7*.

The rest are TMRs. (Well, Aria works for lb shenanigans if you don't have Tilith/Ayaka on dial up. But then most competent healers works as long as you can work around their limits. Aria's being the AoE Revive and esunaja are unfortunately abilities.)

Edit: Rubicante can work as an impromptu elemental wall with iNichol.

Only if you want to ride the power wave you see now with A2 and OK and scuff at even considering Orlandeau since he is Lightning apparently more or less.

Properly built the good 7* TDH units outclasses DW units.

Nope, since DV is of the Landeau family he doesn't. Still DW with further increase on dark impact. The only odd new ones for him are his 16-hitter he gets, the super buff and some mods to old moves.

However you can calm yourself.
Unless you plan to be away from the game you can get a free Cloud by burning the 5* pieces we will eventually have to collect. ("Unit of Choice" or UoC if that sounds familiar. Anyone in that pool. )

But you have to get your own Elfies yourself if you plan to take full advantage of TDH since they are flat damage. Or plan around with Desch since some units like Cloud needs only one Marshal Glove eventually due to stat restrictions.

So, evil eye if you aimed for him over DV 7*. If Fry 7*, I dunno. They might need a magical flavor it since she does have a foot there already before today.

From what I've been able to gather, Sephiroth can chain with pretty much everybody.

Personally, I'm going for CG Sakura, then Lila/Sephiroth (hope they keep them on the same banner with the same step ups, but I really doubt it), and then probably Hyou after that. Might go for CG Nichol as well depending on the gap between him and CG Sakura.

My wife got a rainbow from the daily. Delita. At least it wasn't another Lightning! Not sure how much use she'll have for him as a breaker, but her unit inventory is full with something like a ridiculous 150 King Metal Minitaurs, so at least she'll have something to use them on now.

The 65% breaks themselves are very good, but the question is if she can slot him in.

So to sell the shield: Great defense. Good hp value. SPR is a cut above most other shields, even Genji.

Cons: Wilhelm's is overall better as is(65/65). The trigger might disrupt other triggers you do want by multi-launching. (Counter, Mechanical Heart, etc. )

They don't hit hard enough to make it worth the effort with what they got despite the proc rate.

If it was changed to mimic Gabranth's def=ATK move if you remember it would have been a different story. (And a sweet one post-700 def.)

You can still use it if you want since it does offer HP on top of the other stats. (And works well with WoL if he keeps his increased magic defense boost for LiwU after enhancements. )

So yeah, you can take advantage of the good def both offer if you got nothing better to focus on if you want.

Edit: For VoE keep in mind the effect can mess with him since if he got Mechanical Heart there will be 3 different triggers.

They have to revamp him first when he gets his 7* so he hits like a truck to make up for it.

His niche is more awkward than DRain's as is.

Potential 7* awesome for Gladiolus since very few can utilize the shield well the way it is.

Beyond that I would rather have a second Wilhelm shield since it is practical in the first place.

He's a whale unit anyway to get going unlike the others, so wait for friends to try him out once it hits lv 25.

He is good, but the effort is him+2Elfreeda. You might as well use some other finishers.

However, the bulk of his damage is from the last hit on Omnislash. (30 stones, which takes about 3 turns to charge. 7 per turn with the set up. Plus his counters.)

But the rainbows from this banner are very worthwhile for several 7* units.

Unit wise you should look out for are CG Sakura(Lina Inverse.), CG Fina(Black White Ayaka), CG Lid(Breaker of heavens) and CG Nichol. (Bard 2.0.)

And a chainer that fits what you got now if you don't have anything really good going.

Like Lila the SPR converted to ball stomper, Sephiroth, Hyou. Etc.
