Except that you multiplied your BK hours needed by the total number of BK employees. You made all the workers have 126 hour work weeks.

That's absolutely true. Thanks for catching that error. D'oh...

Let's do location based instead:

6,570 hours/year/location * 15,000 locations = 98,550,000 hours/year

If each extra hour costs an extra $5.876/hr, that is:
$579,079,800,000 more a year.

Dude you have no idea what the fuck you're even talking about

You're comparing apples to oranges here. The OP attempts to calculate the hourly pay BK has to pay out more; it does not attempt to calculate the benefits paid (if more or less), nor does it calculate the other effects this may have (like turnover rates that post #9 mentioned).

Unless GlassDoor hourly rates include benefits, the math attempted in the OP does not care for full time vs. part time hours.

They'll put people 1 hour below the minimum number of hours required to be a full time employee so they don't have to give them benefits. Then they'll outsource the whole outfit to India where they pay the people peanuts. Standard procedure.

The hourly rates calculated in post #1 does not include benefits paid.

Unless you mean cutting the hours that the restaurants are open for, it won't change the math in the OP.

Average salary of a cashier, crew/team, and shift/assistant manager, from 865 reported salaries on Glassdoor: $9.124/hr/employee

Salary difference = $15 - $9.124 = $5.876/hr/employee

Average BK is open from 6am to 12am. It is assumed that the BK is staffed during this entire time. Thus:
18 hours/day = 6,570 hours/year

Salary difference in a year = $38,605.32/year/employee

Number of employees: 34,283 (FY 2015 RBI)

Therefore BK has to pay out:
$1,323,506,185.56 more a year.

Someone onboard is having a medical emergency and the flight is diverted to the nearest airport. This surely costs a lot of money, from the landing fees paid to the airport, to the medical staff that they need ready at the ground, not to mention the hundreds of passengers on-board that needed to get to their destinations (and potentially missed flights).

Who pays for all those delays? Would it be charged to that person experiencing the medical emergency? Or does the airline eat the cost?

TopicWhat is the difference between sea salt and normal salt
IdiotMachine
01/26/18 7:44:30 PM

The main differences between sea salt and table salt are in their taste, texture and processing.

Sea salt is produced through evaporation of ocean water or water from saltwater lakes, usually with little processing. Depending on the water source, this leaves behind certain trace minerals and elements. The minerals add flavor and color to sea salt, which also comes in a variety of coarseness levels.

Table salt is typically mined from underground salt deposits. Table salt is more heavily processed to eliminate minerals and usually contains an additive to prevent clumping. Most table salt also has added iodine, an essential nutrient that helps maintain a healthy thyroid.

Sea salt and table salt have the same basic nutritional value, despite the fact that sea salt is often promoted as being healthier. Sea salt and table salt contain comparable amounts of sodium by weight.

Deadline reports that the service is no longer supporting ticket purchases at theaters like the AMC Empire 25 in New York, Universal City Walk near Los Angeles, and the AMC Loews Boston Common.

As of today, youll find a small handful of theaters are no longer available on our platform, MoviePass CEO Mitch Lowe said in a statement. Our number one goal as a company is to provide an accessible price-point for people to enjoy films the way theyre meant to be seen: on the big screen. Many exhibitors have been receptive to this mission, and were excited to keep working with theater chains that are closely aligned with our customer service values. The statement goes on to clarify that the list of participating theaters is subject to change, and MoviePass customers should consult the mobile app for updates to that list.

Whats interesting about todays development is that MoviePass reportedly didnt notify AMC or its own customers ahead of time. In fact, AMCs own support account on Twitter wrote earlier today that MoviePass still has not contacted the chain about the development.
