Keep in God's word and in prayer, bro. We need all the strength we can get. I feel like marriage will never happen for me either. I'm pushing 29 and I've never had a girlfriend. The thought of dying alone without any family or kids of my own scares me. This is what is weighing on me the most. I have no desire to go drinking, partying, etc. But I really do want someone to share life with. I go everywhere and do most everything alone. It seems like it's equally difficult to find a girl in church as it is outside of church. There are certainly better, more spiritual, and eligible, single men than I and I'm not exactly someone a girl would choose over them. I have to keep pushing myself to get myself and my life together but there are times when everything seems hopeless and I get stuck in a rut.

I do know that if I do end up alone that at least I can put my hope in God. Even if in this life I live in loneliness, it will not compare to the glory and joy to be with God in Heaven.

I'm 34 and never had one. It's looking less and less likely every day. I'm almost certainly going to end up alone, and it's tearing me up inside.

Even worse, the pastor of my church has recently taken up telling about how much he used to sleep around when he was younger. That he needed to learn to control that aspect of his life once he got married. I mean sure, I don't think he was a Christian back then, but it's irritating knowing that he used to live that way and apparently got around a lot. Then I can't even make a friend, let alone friend a romantic partner. It just amps up my insecurities and makes me want a gf even more.

I have awful self esteem. I always feel worthless. It's always nice to get compliments(mostly about looks or being nice), but the goodness from that fades right away. And I'm back to feeling worthless and attention seeking to get that little boost back. I'm pathetic.

That's really great that you're sticking to it. I'm a Christian myself, and I always wanted to wait until marriage for sex. It just seems like a gesture of love, being willing to commit your life to someone because you love them, regardless of how they perform in bed.

Things have been wearing heavily on me the last few years though. I realized I'm almost certainly never going to get married, or even have a girlfriend. While I think I'd still be ok waiting until marriage if I can miraculously find someone who wants to marry me, I think I'd be just as ok having sex if I can manage to get a girlfriend at all. Although, I probably wouldn't want to jump straight to that at all. I'd definitely still prefer waiting rather than just have a fling or something. Idk, it's just stressful and confusing, and idk exactly how I'd react if someone actually showed me that kind of attention. I wish I had your strength to still be commited to that idea despite it looking hopeless.

My dad, obviously. He's psycho narcissist. No one matters to him except himself and he takes pleasure in hurting others. Everyone else in the world only exists to benefit him, and if they're not beneficial then he does whatever he can to hurt them. He's malicious, cruel, and selfish.

He'll tell me he hates me, that I'm useless, and that he doesn't want anything to do with me... Until he wants something and can't afford it. Then he shows up at my door acting all kind, pretending like we're buddies. It's usually less than a minute before he gets all serious and starts telling me to give him money. From that point forward its constant harassment and insults until I give it to him. Then he's ungrateful that he had to wait, do he never pays back.

Not to mention all the physical and mental abuse he did to us. My mom and me took all of it, he loved my brother and never did anything to him. He's just a despicable person in general.

Yeah, seriously, that thing was pretty tough. I watched my cousin try it like 5 times Saturday and they lost each time. I tried it 3 times last night and barely managed to kill it as time was running out. I thought the victory screen was a time out screen when it first popped up.

Thanks. I kinda wish I had the tail more towards the right. I was trying to make it look like it was kind of undulating, but the tail could easily pass for a weird leg or something where I have it. :/

It's pretty widely known brushing stuff off tells others you don't mind. People have their own lives and they can't just sit there figuring out what all your subtle habits are. You either speak up or suck it up and accept nothing will change because you don't do anything about it

This is true too, it's my own fault for taking it. Still, she definitely knows that I want a family of my own and that it bothers me that I've never had a girlfriend. Idk if she was trying to be mean, or if it was just something she said without realizing it'd hurt.

Sometimes it is good to be carefree. It comes across as more confident.

But to family, you shouldnt have to be. They should know not to say certain things.

I mean that is if you pretty much have a hardened exterior around them too

It comes naturally to me, but after so long of being constantly hurt by everyone I've kind' expectations become an emotional mess. They don't know it because my natural personality hides it really well. I've got to literally go out of my way to act up if I want anyone to notice I'm upset(I don't want that though).

I've learned I can't talk about that kind of stuff with my family. They'll just turn it around use it to hurt me or something. I'm very serious when I say I don't have anyone I can talk to in person.

We were watching Planet Earth 2 on Netflix. It got to a part with a jungle bird building a little arena to dance in to attract a mate. During its dance, my mom starts laughing. I thought she was laughing at the bird acting silly, but she kept staring at me and laughing harder. Finally she says something...

"That's not you."
"Huh?"
"He's doing everything he can to mate."
"...What?"
"Maybe if you got out, and danced like that you could mate too!"
*laughing even more*

It was really embarrassing, and a little hurtful if I'm being honest. >_>
I laughed along with her, but it was a fake laugh. She said other things about it, but I wasn't really listening at that point. A later episode had other birds doing dances too and she was laughing at them then too. Neither of us said anything that time, but I'm assuming she was laughing at me then too.

Well, it's a little complicated. He's 17 and mentally challenged. It's certainly frustrating at times, but I try to keep things in order so he doesn't get upset. He feels that if I get to watch him play then that's more than fair. lol
