I generally agree. Theyre an artifact of pre-internet television when audiences who missed a few episodes would need to be caught up.

Still, Ive seen a few good ones

ROD the TV has a great "recap" episode, told through a supporting character writing a report on everything that had happened.

Its good because, beside consolidating the events of the show and the OVA, it adds new context and information as well as builds up intrigue for the next arc. So in addition of being an epilogue for the last arc, its an "Issue #0" for the next one. Also it teases the return of Yomiko which is hype af.

Another good one was in Frasier. Not exactly a clip show since they reshot some of the old scenes, but the old scenes were used to break down and analyze Nile's relationship with Daphne and was instrumental in making that relationship evolve into something satisfying and believable.

And of course Kill La Kill's "clip show" was great. >~>

Battles exist for sure, and the attack animations seemed pretty varied. So battles will exist.

Somebody tried saying that wild battles arent in the game, but I doubt that. The only part of the battles we saw were Go-esque catching sequences, which likely just means that throwing pokeballs is its own little "mini-game" now.

Nah but it was okay. Only making this topic because the opening scene was basically the same as The Force Awakens, with the minor difference being that the heroes sarcastic jab about the villain wasnt used to deflate the tension of a great scene.

Poe Dameron sucks. Thor rules. How did a movie with Peter Quill end up taking itself more seriously than Star Wars. Cest la vie <~<

I thought it was alright. Character designs were good, story was at least entertaining thanks to the Robot Masters having actual dialogue and being integrated into the cast.

The "sequel hook" that Implied an inversion of the Light/Wily hero/villain roles was actually kind of promising.

Honestly I would be down for a second try.

For a machine to count as anything close to life or deserving of rights, I'd have to be shown examples of the AI transcending its orginal programming, and even defying it.

Make a "robot island", and when they start exhibiting social behaviors, and individuality, I'll believe AI is possible. Bonus points if those machines, when having access to the proper resources, choose to replicate themselves in some form of reproducrion.

As it stands, machines can only do what they're told. Even with "learning", their comprehension is limited to the paramaters set for them. Someone mentioned Chess machines, but those can only beat humans because humans have already broken down Chess to its most basic numbers. Theres no real "intelligence" involved there, just math and a memory of every possible board configuration. >~>

Woke up one or two hours after falling asleep feeling terrible and afraid. Had an awful stomach cramp and nauseousness that came and went like a tide. Cramp felt so bad for a second I was about to go to 24-hour urgent care, but the cramp was almost crippling when I tried to walk.

Cant lay down, doing so feels awful, so I have to sit up in bed until my body calms down.

Entirely possible I just fucked up my stomach with a lot of food today, but had the same symptoms yesterday.

Not sure if its hard to breathe. Nothing is physically obsturcting me but, occassionaly I wake up gasping for air. And even when I breathe normally there's this feeling that somethings not right.

Anyways, its just frusttating. Im not looking for pity or attention, I'm just venting here so I dont have to wake up my wife. Im going to see a doctor after I drop her off at work in 6 hours. Feels like every week my body finds new ways to bug me and make me worry. Sigh.

Always was just a fun piece of nostalgia for me but I never watched the full series till now, so it feels like I just finished the last chapter of a really long book. >~>

I guess when you leave something from your childhood unfinished, theres a sense of mystery to it. It sort of lives forever. Then when you finished it the mystery is solved and it loses some of the magic it used to have.

Overall its a 9/10 series. Great blend of adventure, fantasy, and sci-fi. World building was well done, series finished and it felt like there was still so much of the universe to explore, which I guess is the best thing an adventure series can do. Finale was a bit anti-climactic but satisfying.

Gosh I miss this late 90s anime aesthetic. Everything is so clean and sterile now. Ah well. This was fun.

Just so you know, North Korea is still in the Paleozoic Era compared to the rest of the world's development. The sheer cost of moderninizing its infrastructure is seen as a huge problem and one of the major hurdles in reunification.

Races in general dont make sense if you think about them too much.

Why is Black considered one race when there are Black people from a variety of different parts of the world, not just Africa?

Why is Asian a race decided by geographical location?

And we all know white is basically whatever the flip the present majority counts it as to maintain power. People that werent considered white got assimilated into it over the years.

Then youve got hispanic which doesnt count as a race but is certainly different enough from other things we consider races to be considered its own.

I think it's more of the message being that quirks give people too much power, and the only reason society tolerates the super-powered game of cat and mouse is because the heroes follow the law and the criminals don't. So when the heroes ignore the law or the rules of their organization then it's just a slippery slope until the heroes just become villains that follow their own individual moral codes, and not the law; essentially making them no more noble than villains at all. So they must follow the law to show society that they're acting in good faith of the public good, and even slight transgressions away from that will get punished harshly for the well-being of all heroes.

It's more of a "Follow the rules" thing tbh, no one told them what they did was wrong, they told them that what they did broke the rules imposed on people with quirks.
