Actually, when I was 17 through age 20, I didn't work a lot. I stayed in my room of my grandmother's and ignored life because depression was draining me and I didn't know how to work it. My mom think that therapy is taboo and refused to send me. It took me a few years to actually get out from the ashes and live. Its easy to mooch off someone you live with...family, I mean. I'm sorry to hear that, but glad you got out of it. When I was in college and didn't work, I still went out on non-school days to get groceries, food, go to the comic book store or bookstore. It actually wasn't too often that I stayed inside. Yeah, my mom just told people she didn't want anyone thinking I was crazy when it could have probably saved me back in school. Rather than address the issue, she tried to hide it and honestly, the results weren't fantastic. I also wished we had book stores around here. Living in a town like this, getting a book store or comic store is out of the realm because "lololololbooks". Our library is so boring and out of date..if we had any decent book store or comic shop, that's where I'd go if I would go anywhere but I'm not spending an hour to try and get to the nearest Barnes and Noble. Shit. That really sucks. Reading was my grannies go to method of coping. And damn.... Too bad about your mom man. It'd probly still be an issue to some extent regardless (I'd imagine) but at least it wouldn't be compounded and reinforced. I have to think that staying inside more and more in the formative years would really just make it so much harder to ever break out of. --- "I got a rollatruc, look."
