OCD would be if you felt compelled to do that every time it happened and if you don't then horrible things will happen.

Which is exactly what goes down. If it didnt, I wouldnt waste my car rides thinking about meaningless crap that makes me feel bad. >_>This isnt even the primary or worst manifestation of it tbh. Fun things in life:

Constantly deleting and re-entering passwords before logging in anywhere

Interrupting reading or pausing games to handle intrusive thoughts.

Not eating because the fear that beginning to eat with trigger intrusive thoughts

Closing/reopening doors, closests, windows, or flipping switches or turning on and off the car ignition multiple times, or walking backwards out of doorways i already entered only to enter them again

Handwashing after my hands touch anything

Throwing away untouched food and going hungry because some trivial non-detail convinced my brain it was contaminated

Backtracking in video games and repetively replaying parts I already completed, or discarding save data, because i didnt handle intrusive thoughts properly and by accepting that progress it would be like accepting those thoughts

The slightest whiff of gas triggering panic attacks

The insane thought that, if i left my bottled drink in the car while I was in the store, some maniac could have broken into the car and poisoned it

And the list goes on. But please, by all means, tell me more about the mental illness that has plagued me for the last 20 years of my life >_>

Who is this guy? Why is he talking to me? Do I know him? No...pretty sure I don't. But does he know me? Is he going to be insulted if I dont remember him?

Oh! I'm wearing a Millenium Falcon t-shirt. I totally forgot. To be honest I just through this on. Should I talk to him? Is he expecting a conversation?

That doesnt make any sense! We're in the parking lot of a Wal-mart! He's leaving and I'm going in. A conversation would be inconvenient for both of us. But still, if he took the time to compliment my shirt, it would be couteous to acknowledge him.

But what do I say? Do I simply agree that Star Wars is cool? Or do I say something specific? "A lot of people think Return of the Jedi is the weakest of the trilogy, but I always thought everything on Tatooine or after Vader abducts Luke is outstanding, with only a slight lull when they first get to Endor"

What? No! That wont make any sense, how does that logically flow from a Millenium Falcon t-shirt? Maybe "Han Solo is the man!"

Why'd I even come out today? Or at least wear my Junes t-shirt. Nobody in this city knows what Persona 4 is. Though if a stranger were to strike up a conversation based on my shirt, I wish it were Persona instead of Star Wars.

Oh no! We're about to cross paths! Gotta think of something to say!

She either likes you, and will say yes. Or doesnt, and all the waiting and pussyfooting isnt going to change that. So may as well face it head on.

And even then, getting rejected doesnt mean someone is out of your league. Just means she didn't see it. There's 7 billion people on this planet, no one is gonna be a winner all the time.

Granted, after a while a few of those pennies will make it to the bank, be rejected, and then the cops will start interviewing everyone the cameras saw paying exact change. And then youll be in jail because you were too cheap to pay 4 more cents for a Milky Way.

I can totally relate to Batman.

You know, the neurotic man who cant let go of his obsessions and is eternally plagued by the existential dread caused by a life of constant failures, always wondering if he's made the right decision or if his actions just made everything worse. The kind of neuroses that cause you to isolate yourself and keep everyone who might care about you at a distance.

That and being a CEO of a multi-billion dollar corporation and a master of martial arts with a bod that would make Prime Schwarzenegger jealous. Thats totally me.

Superman though is lame. He just looks at life with hopeful optimism and tries to believe in the innate goodness all humans are capable of if they try. Like, who can relate to that in 2018?

Youre given 50 million dollars in unmarked bills.

But to get it, you have to walk up to a car in the middle of rush hour, shoot and kill the driver, and kidnap the 10 year old chinese girl inside.

That girl will be the Chinese Prime Minister's daughter. He, in conjunction with the LAPD, will send two officers after you. One is skilled in kung fu, the other is hot headed and unpredictable.

If you can evade capture for a week the 50 million is yours.

Yeah, I know, Amazon fixes everything and thats fine, but it sucks when I go into a store and the MSRP for a collection of old Ms Marvel (Carol Danvers) stories is almost fifty freaking dollars.

Pretty much all the marvel collections are like this. Id think it was some sort of conspiracy to get people to just use Marvel Unlimited, but even before that dropped I was finding Deapool trades for 40 dollars.

For reference, DCs collections of classic runs (Wonder Woman by Rucka or Perez, Batman by Neal Adams, Flash by Waid) are under 30 per volume.

Gosh. I miss the old DC Showcase/Marvel Essentials collections. It lacked color and any sort of special content but it was a cheap way to enjoy some classic stories. >_>

Specifically the "Murder in _____" games. Warcraft 3 was really good at doing a "creepy" atmosphere when it wanted, and those games used it to great effect. Really simple "survive and try to guess who the killer is" thing.

The DnD games were really fun too. One player would be assigned dungeon master and spawn monsters/items in an impromptu campaign.

And the "mini multuplayer online rpgs" were also stupid fun. There was a Final Fantasy one with a broken password system, but if you played it properly it was really fun. There was also a Pokemon rpg.

It was generally really interesting to see how players developed these interesting fangames in Warcraft. There was a great one based on the YYH Dark Tournament.

Not to mention the countless tower defense and proto mobas. (Personally I hated Dota and still dont like Mobas, but they were fun enough if a friend wanted to play)

Terrible shame Warcraft 3 went the way of the Dodo. The custom games were probably one of my fondest memories from high school.

Though the couple hadnt even ordered yet, so I'd also say theyre being ridiculous for escalating such a non-issue to this point. Should have just left the restaurant and told everybody what a shitty manager it has. No restaurant is worth that, either. >_>

They are ridiculous for escalating and not the person that called the police over this issue that shouldnt have even been an issue in the first place because the manager should have never asked them to do such a ridiculous thing?

The manager was an idiot. And I'd love for him to be fired for it. But if you argue with idiots, well...

You realize that youre pretty much advocating that they, at best, comply with stupidity and at worst comply with stupidity mixed with racism and other potential discriminatory factors. Not sure thats the best option here. They were paying customers, they had a right to sit where they were sitting, the manager is 100% in the wrong here.

Youre reading far too deeply into a comment that wasnt a condemnation (my fault for using "ridiculous" so flippantly), but bewilderment at why anyone would waste their energy on somebody who clearly isnt worth it, for a chance to give them money, when the alternative of "spend your money elsewhere and tell everyone you know" has the same result with less headache.

I apologize if I implied the customers did something that justified that behavior against them.

Im sorry. Why would you give your money to a shitty reataurant run by a shitty manager who would do shitty things? Thats when you realize the restaurant isnt worth your time, and you go literally anywhere else.

Its astounding, the level of intelligence people must have, to read a post calling the manager crappy, and then take an off-hand non-jab about customers, which also revolves around the premise of the manager being crappy, and assume:

A) that I actually feel the customers are at any significant level of fault beyond "why would you do that?"

And

B) having established my history in restaurants, that my criticism is based on their race and not having seen countless customers and the poor way they handle things.

Congratulations.

Justice League wasnt terrible, but it can feel schizophrenic with how forced the Whedon bits are. Not that they're bad. I appreciate most of the stuff he added, but it doesnt flow naturally with Snyder's vision.

People rag on Steppenwolf but he wasnt any more or less interesting than any other superhero movie villain. Like, he's easily on par with 80% Marvel villains. And the lore his presence creates was interesting.

Tbh, as much as I hate Snyders take on Superman, the opening about the worlds reaction to his death was great. I think theres potential for a great DCEU with Snyder's involvement, but he needs to be limited to like, cinematography or something.
