Anything can be not necessarily addictive or harmful. For some people. For some time. The answer to whether something is harmful or not lies in its long-term effects of society, and is based in statistics. Since we got overwhelmed with porn, more people are less happy and with no sense of direction in their lives, families fall apart more easily, and more children are raised by television and the internet instead of their parents. That is regrettable, and while porn is far from the only factor in it, it contributes.

In short, I'm not against someone enjoying porn if it's in restraint. I know I did. And not everyone has the circumstances and determination allowing him to ditch it. But porn is an overall ill to society, and for that I take a stand against it. If nothing else, there are so many things you could do with that time.

Government's considering introducing state-subsidised private security for villages because the police force is not large enough to secure them all. There were some terrorist acts by muslims in the 80s, but fortunately nothing like that since then. Currently, the situation is stable, but that could change fast if EU decide to locate migrants currently restrained in Turkey here after Erdogan inevitably sets them loose.

The people's heart is in the right place and there would certainly be vigourous resistance to any such plans, if they ever tried to implement them. But it's hard to say if it would be enough. Recently, certain elements in the ruling party worry me with actions showing that they would be willing to serve the EU even by doing things that clearly mean they would never get elected again. The prime minister, without whom the party is nothing, is fortunately saner, but it's hard to feel at ease.

Then don't go to the gym. Get a resistance band and start working out with it at your place. Go for a lot of walks. And THEN go to the gym, once you've lost a little weight and look like you actually are motivated.

I speak from experience that walking a lot, getting out more, and doing active things away from your bedroom help resolve depressive symptoms. Even if it's an hour a day, it's something. Gotta start somewhere, right?

They're quite successful. "Success" doesn't mean being number 1. Of course, them being associated with conservative voices means unfair propaganda against them, which will turn off people who don't pay much attention, i.e. the majority of people. Something else will replace the dinosaurs, and it will be decentralised. It'll take a few years for the ideas and technology to mature, however.
