That's Smogon's ban-list, for reference. As you can see, it's primarily composed of box and secret legendaries, along with some particularly powerful Mega evolutions, as well as Aegislash(Stance Change basically allows it to both be an excellent check on attackers AND a lethal mixed-attacker, but it doesn't actually change stance until you use an offensive move) and Blaziken(Speed Boost is busted).
Regardless, most of the Pokemon involved are not only vastly more powerful than the entire Pokedex, they also tend to be hard to obtain. The purpose of any ban-list(in Pokemon) is create an environment in which the maximum amount of Pokemon are viable.

Also note that that ban-list is for Singles. Doubles is a whole different can of worms.

The Dems have consistently lead in generic balloting since forever. How much of this they can translate into House seats is another matter, particularly since they're facing an excellent Republican gerrymander in most states.

The thing with the Senate is that the map is ridiculously bad for the Democrats. They have incumbents up for re-election in West Virginia, Indiana, Florida, North Dakota, Ohio, and Missouri. Their best pick-up opportunities are Nevada and Arizona. After those, it's Texas. A good result for them is losing just a seat or two.

Mitch McConnell doesn't seem to want him, either: perhaps his staff found something that could drag out his nomination process?(that, or he's trying to use reverse-psychology on Trump).
Basically, McConnell most likely wants a candidate who is A) Reliably conservative and B) Quick to confirm(i.e. not a whole big career to go over). He would love to get some vulnerable Democratic senators to vote for the nominee too, to give cover to his own vulnerable senators.

Quoting for posterity, 'cause I'm dumb.
Kavanaugh has ~0% of going Souter on them, unfortunately. He may not straight-up over-turn Roe v. Wade, either, but then that's fools gold for pro-lifers anyhow.

Don't have anything new to add, but I love FTL: Faster Than Light, Stellaris, and Mass Effect.

FTL is a rogue-like where you control a single federation vessel carrying vital intel across hostile space. You encounter a host of events, choices, and space battles, which often play out very differently depending on your crew and equipment.

Stellaris is one of this generation's foremost Space 4Xs. You basically create your own race and play as them. You aren't the first to the stars: many have come and gone after you, and left various oddities behind. Darker things still exist, and there is a Worm That Waits(or was it waiting? Or will it be waiting?) You have a lot of lee-way in terms of how to develop your civilization, but if you're looking for a game with well-defined races, this isn't it(unless you bring your own).

Mass Effect is BioWare's space property. It was originally a fusion of BioWare RPG and third-person shooter, but the latter element increasingly superseded the former(for the best, IMO, but many disagree). It's a rich world that stars you as Commander Shepard on your quest to save the galaxy from the mysterious menace known only as "The Reapers".

We just got five new episodes, and a whole hell of a lot happened.
For courtesy, I'm spoilering my OP, so if you enter this topic and aren't caught up, just know that you need to get caught up!

Those were some great episodes. Stephen and Amethyst have come a long way. Pearl and Sapphire crying together was really funny to me. Ruby's little cowboy adventure was sweet, and now we're back in Bismuth. She took things better than I thought she could. Peridot was her amazing self("The flowers have been deployed, Wedding Commander!"). The wedding was beautiful, and the Diamonds crashing it was really tense. Lapis came back, the Cluster took (partial) form and wrecked Yellow's ship, Steven even managed to get the Diamonds to LISTEN.
Which is only a start. The Crystal Gems would almost certainly lose if they had to fight both Diamonds, but they're stuck here and reasonably convinced that Steven is intimately related to Pink. Them hanging around is going to be really, really, really awkward and tense though(and there's a lot they're going to struggle to understand). Interestingly, the promo for the next batch of episodes revealed that they didn't know that corruption is even a thing: they thought they had annihilated all the gems on Earth.

NPR
Morris says he's hoping Trump has a strategy that's going to pan out that the tariffs will strengthen the economy in the long run.

"I'm going to bear the brunt of it, I'm going to hope and pray for the best for our country, our corporations like Riverdale and the workers there, the fishermen, everybody. But if it goes awry, I'll stand and I'll be the first one to admit that I was wrong in supporting that."

For now, he says, he's putting his faith in the president.

Their entire world view depends on Trump being some kind of ubermensch chess master who already won 16 moves ago. That, or they don't mind getting screwed as long as the president is white.

That was a total slog of a run. Four Job Fiesta, Black Mage/Berserker/Geomancer/Dragoon
Basically, Black Mage provided everything. The raw power to nuke things to death before my complete lack of healing killed me(never before have I used so many freaking potions, tents, and cottages. I'd buy Potions x99 at a time. I nearly cried when I could buy Hi-Potions). It powered the Berserker's Rune Axe. It gave Dragoon something to do, because lances and Dragoons are meh. It couldn't redeem Geomancer, but good God, it tried.

In any case, I had to cheese the hell out of Neo-ExDeath as I have never had to before. I spammed Break until I got lucky(after four wipes) and killed the part that casts Almagest. I grabbed the Thief Knife and hunted Crystal Dragons until I managed to get a Dragon Lance so my Dragoon could murder the part that casts Grand Cross. I used the Magic Lamp to kill a 3rd-part with Odin. Even then, my team was bloodied and battered, and Faris ate it to a double Vacuum Wave.
All that after grinding a good half-dozen levels. This party was bad.

A knight in full armor is definitely the favorite against a samurai. This isn't a value statement as much as it is based upon Europeans having more and better easily-available iron to work with, and that being reflected in their respective armament.
Swords were always at least as much a sign of status as a weapon though(they're comparatively expensive to make).
