That reason is that couch multiplayer only requires the purchase of one copy for multiple players, whereas online multiplayer requires the purchase of a copy for each. The game industry is pretty notorious for deciding that certain things (single-player games, local multiplayer...) are "dead" because they would make less money if they continued to produce them.

no he's really looking for diamond, gold is just something he happens to find while digging

Honestly, diamonds aren't actually that helpful long-term, while gold can be. In vanilla, you mostly just need enough to sustain your diamond tools/armour. Meanwhile, if you're going to do any significant amount of rail work, you're going to need lots of gold for powered tracks.

Playing modded, both gold and diamond are really needed for high end equipment.

Lets use the Wyvern Chestplate for example
You need (going from base material)
x13 diamond
x20 gold
x1 netherstar
x36 redstone
x34 Draconium

And Draconium, without going to the end. Is the hardest thing to find in most modded versions.
If you want the full set
x13 diamonds chest)+ 10 (helm) + 12 (legs) + 9 (boots)
x80 gold
x4 netherstars
x16 redstone blocks
x136 Draconium

This is just for an armor set that isn't even the best one

If you're playing modded, though, materials are significantly more plentiful. 44 diamonds and 80 gold aren't even that much by vanilla standards. As you said, the Draconium is by far the more limiting resource.

You think you know Steve? I've LIVED Steve. I've eaten, drunk, and breathed Steve. Steve has become incorporated into every fibre of my being, so when I tell you gold is more useful to Steve than diamonds, I expect you to ****ing listen.

In all seriousness, it's been so long since I've really played vanilla MC that I don't really know how diamonds compare to gold in terms of overall usefulness. With mods, it's often actually iron that ends up being a bottleneck, due to how much of it is used, with ender pearls being the basis for more high-end items. Both diamonds and gold often end up taking a bit of a back seat. Automated mining (or other means of resource gathering) also tends to simply bring both to me without me having to worry about them. *Shrug*

Because the maximum rate of fire on a compound bow is like one shot a second if you're really skilled, using very bulky ammunition, and that's not sustainable at all due to the amount of upper body strength required (presuming the bow's meant for hunting, I'd expect a 50-pound draw weight minimum, with 70-80 being pretty plausible). You can do damage with a bow, certainly, but it's nowhere close to being as effective a weapon as a gun is. If it were, militaries would still use bows on a regular basis instead of guns.

That logic, by the way, is identical to saying "they've got bombs either way, why do we care if they have nukes?".

This sounds reasonable. Keeping him destitute forever wouldn't come close to ever covering the damages, so it's not like there's much point in that.

I dont really care. I can see how it may be annoying for men that women are getting all sorts of things subsidized now (tampons, birth control, etc) and they arent getting anything,

Whoa there. Birth control is also for men. It may be women that end up physically receiving it, but those women's partners get to reap all the same benefits that the women do (at least as far as using it as birth control goes, and ignoring the therapeutic applications of BC pills and hormonal IUD's). Painting subsidized birth control as "women getting something that men don't" is ignoring the fundamental purpose of birth control (that is, to let men and women have sex with each other without making a baby, which both parties enjoy unless one of them is really bad at it).

Men's birth control is just a condom though.

Which are already available for free in many places, and also aren't really adequate for long-term birth control (85% effectiveness with normal use), nor cost-effective (presuming a reasonable level of sexual activity). It'd be great to see more viable long-term options that are administered to men (the only male-centric alternative to condoms is a vasectomy, and that's not a temporary solution), in which case any subsidy programs should obviously apply to them as well, but for now, female-centric options are naturally going to be the primary targets for subsidies.

And, in the event that something like Vasalgel makes it to market and becomes a target for birth control subsidy programs, looking at that as "men getting something that women don't" will similarly be missing the fundamental point of birth control. Subsidized birth control really should not be viewed as a gendered issue, no matter who's receiving the treatments in question.

There's a very, very big difference between an offensive war and a defensive war. Attacking guerrillas? Yeah, that's hard, especially when they hide among civilian targets to take advantage of the "good guys'" relative unwillingness to shoot civilians. Defending against them? A massive disparity in armaments makes that substantially easier.

Really, if you want to push the "the people must be able to defeat the government" angle, it's anti-structure weapons you should be pushing to legalize, not anti-personnel. Especially with the rise of automation making a workforce less and less necessary to maintain function. Anti-personnel stuff isn't good for much in that case.

Now, given your condition, that's going to be hard. I know you didn't like your prior efforts at getting therapy, but I really do think you should be trying again and sticking with it this time. It takes a very specific set of circumstances to allow somebody like you to teach themselves how to talk to people, and it's extremely unlikely that you're going to encounter them spontaneously at this point in your life. Therapy can provide that opportunity, but it's not going to happen overnight and you need to be patient.

Ok, I'll try and explain this as if I were teaching preschoolers.

Sugar - bad. More sugar - more bad. Bad = fat. Fat bad.

Does that make sense now, pumpkin? And nice job not answering what your BMI is, that speaks volumes.

Not all juice has added sugar in it and not all fat is bad. Also pumpkin is healthy.

Even without added sugar, juice is typically very, very sweet. There's a lot of sugar in fruit, but it's significantly diluted (so to speak) by all of the fibre and other nutrients found in the pulp of the fruit. If you juice your own fruit (and therefore get all of that extra stuff in there), it's fine, but commercial juice strips out most or all of the pulp (even orange juice with pulp), leaving mostly sugar.

If you look at the nutritional information for juice, it'll often be pretty comparable to what you'd get into a similar serving of pop. There are other nutrients that mean they aren't empty calories like you get from pop, but there's also a high fructose content (which bypasses the first regulatory step in glucose metabolism and can therefore contribute to insulin resistance), so it's still important to limit how much you're drinking.

"we should boycott this company that had the moral nerve to not want their game associated with a racial slur spewing european dude who doesn't even know how to fathom the history behind the word and its usage in american history toward black people"

It's one thing to say "we don't want our product associated with you and are revoking your permission to use it on your channel." It's another entirely to file spurious DMCA takedown claims and encourage others to do so, knowing that accumulating strikes faster than they can be dealt with will shut a channel down.

Really, you should water down your own whiskey. Diluting whiskey alters the distribution of the phenolic compounds that give it its smoky flavour, bringing them closer to the air-fluid interface so you can more readily taste and smell them. How much water is up to personal taste, and lower alcohol concentrations don't necessarily warrant it, but if you're ever drinking a cask strength whiskey (usually around 55-60%), you're doing yourself a gross disservice if you don't try splashing some water in there to see how it changes.
