Simone Scott is a part-time streamer on Twitch under the name Aqualadora. Scott guested on a stream last night hosted by well known streamer RajjPatel, and when asked what the worst thing she ever did was, Scott claimed to have intentionally killed a four-year-old dog. I used to work as a veterinary technician and I once killed someones dog on purpose, Scott can be heard saying in a saved video. No one knew because, you know, professional ... I mean, it was a really bad person. Another video that was posted just after includes more of Scotts comment on the apparent confession from her conversation with Patel. Scott can be heard saying the dog was pretty shitty too, before asking to just move past this not long after making the confession. Patels livestream quickly caught attention. People began tweeting him asking why he allowed Scott onto his stream. Patel put out a statement on Twitter saying that he did kick her off the show once she finished talking, adding that he doesnt condone or tolerate the mistreatment of animals. The abuse of animals is completely unacceptable and morally reprehensible, Patel said. The individual involved was removed as a result and will never be welcome on my platform again. Im really upset about it and cant believe that anybody would have the capacity to do something like that. News of Patels stream spread on Twitter overnight, with threads popping up on Discord and Reddit asking why Scotts channel hasnt been suspended or banned by Twitch administrative staff. Scotts channel is still active at the time of this writing, and its hosting a very active chat discussing private details of Scotts life. The big question is whether or not what Scott said is an offense that could result in a ban or suspension from the company. Technically, Scott didnt directly break any of the companys community guidelines, even if she is confessing to committing a serious crime. Polygon has reached out to Santa Cruz police for comment on whether Scotts comments are being investigated. Twitchs guidelines state that streamers must respect all applicable local, national, and international laws while using our services. Any content or activity featuring, encouraging, offering, or soliciting illegal activity is prohibited. This is the tricky part. Scott didnt feature anything illegal on her own channel, since she was streaming on Patels, nor did she encourage, offer or solicit illegal activity. If Scott was making a joke, Twitchs guidelines state that users who express diverse or unpopular points of view, or do so in humorous or controversial ways must make [their] intent clear. Scott never did that. Theres no question that a streamer talking about personally being involved in the murder of an animal violates ethical standards. Conversation over transparency surrounding its rules, a controversial topic for the company, has returned with this situation. Twitchs new guidelines, which are expected to roll out in the coming weeks, dictate that off-platform activity and content can result in a permanent ban. If Twitch deems Scotts alleged behavior and actions to fall in-line with its new policies, Scott could face severe consequences. Theres an awful lot of shitty games, shovelware, mobile ports... just a lot of crap games on PS4. Lots of good indies, but lots of shitty ones, too. Far-Queue 02/28/18 6:57:26 AM #9	My Atari 2600 crapped out 3 years ago. Had it from childhood. Still have it, but it any game I put into it wont display, just turns the screen gray. Oh, and when I mentioned the PS3 dying fairly early on, I meant early on from when I bought it. Id had 360s for years, and the slim PS3s had already been out for a while when I jumped from the Microsoft ship. I do agree with you about the early consoles being pretty much test runs these days, just pointing out that in my particular case it was a PS3 that shouldve been one of those that had the kinks worked out by then. That pretty much sums up my view of recent gaming history. As far as I'm concerned, Microsoft basically shot themselves in the foot this generation, and burned off about 12 years worth of accumulated good will with constant fuck-ups and general asinine shenanigans. If they want to win me back next generation, they pretty much have to pull a miracle out of their ass while Sony trips over its own dick and lands face-first in the mud. Not that a scenario like that is impossible - Sony fucking up with the PS3 is pretty much what turned me from a proud PS2 owner into someone who loved both the Xbox and Xbox 360 more in the first place (and before that, what turned me from someone who absolutely loved the SNES as the greetest console evar into someone who leapt onto the PS1 and never gave a single shit about the N64). I'm more than willing to "switch sides" if a console does what I want it to do and provides more of the games I want to play - I've never been much of a "brand loyalist". Pretty much how I felt until I got my 4th RROD. Then I jumped back over to Sonys side. To Microsofts credit, they handled the RROD situation about as well as they could have. Always offered replacements. But I got fed up after the fourth time. I had tried the towel trick to attempt to squeeze more life out of the last one, but the towel trick heated up the console so much that the tamper seal shifted. It was obvious that the sticker wasnt actually tampered with, the glue had heated so it had slid over. But Microsoft saw it as being tampered with and denied the claim on that unit. Think I was unlucky, though. Most people say theyve had two consoles die on them at most. And full disclosure: my first PS3 died, too. Fairly early on, at that. Field Museum is awesome. Chicago is a cool town but its a bitch for truck drivers lol Lots of low clearances under the elevated rail. Been a while for me but Im pretty sure it was the Art Institutes loading dock that gave me a bit of trouble. Its underground and next to the rail lines, and there is a guard rail that makes maneuvering tight. Great museums in that city, though. Last time Ive been to an actual art museum was over a year ago. Storm King in Windsor, NY. Just looked, it was October 2015... geez. Didnt realize itd been so long. Been meaning to take my son to the science museum. Maybe this summer. Theres a Klimt exhibit coming to Boston soon. Sometimes theres clever twist on a formula, but how often do you see something truly fresh and unique? I get that, but my point is that it's almost like someone playing The Godfather: The Game and then saying "I really enjoyed that, someone should make a movie based on it." It's not a case of the game plot being "unoriginal", as much as there are multiple films that are pretty much identical to what a Sleeping Dogs adaptation would wind up having to be. Most of its actual unique interpretations and aspects are elements that only really exist in its game mechanics. And that works against the film, because even if its the best video game adaptation movie ever made, most people aren't really going to see it as being anything noteworthy because it's not all that unique a plot for a Hong Kong action film. I see what you mean. Being a Hong Kong action film already makes it sort of niche, in the West at least. Hoping Yens enough of a draw to get some attention. I thougt it was average at first but then I got into it and the story and gameplay was solid, I ended up really liking it I really like the hand-to-hand combat. It feels like you have to be really quick with the counters, which I like. Its less forgiving than the Arkham games in that regard. The gunplay is ok, driving is good but some of the cars feel like they have no weight to them, so cornering is weird. Story is surprisingly strong. Didnt have high expectations going into it but Im loving it so far. Dig how they kept some Chinese in the dialogue, like the slang and stuff. Makes the dialogue feel more natural, while still keeping it easy for me to understand. Love the special outfits, and how they give you boosts. Played half the game as Drunken Master because I love that movie, even though the outfit breaks the immersion a bit lol Overall I am greatly enjoying it. I think it performed well enough for a sequel, though Im not sure. Would love a follow-up. Theyre making a movie with Donnie Yen. This is my first Monster Hunter game, so I don't know how it compares to the earlier entries, but I find it to be enjoyable. It gets a bit grindy at times, though. Nothing quite like having to kill the same monster 5 times in a row to get the parts you need to modify your gear... The matchmaking is a fucking abomination, too.
