Damn, I really freaking enjoyed that movie. Not sure if it passes GoG1 for me, but .......seriously close if it doesn't. I'll need to consider it over time and watch it over again to tell. I've seen GoG1 three times already and still love it......so not sure if this will stand the test of time as well.

Lol, i've been posting on here for years, and hated taco bell all that time. Heck my wife died almost a year and a half ago already, and I was here long enough for everyone to know who I was at that point (over a year since I had come back at that point). Been over 2 years now since she got sick the last time, and I was posting from the hospital for 6 months during that time. I'd say I've been back almost 4 years probably now.

I never posted about loving any food from taco bell. I used to joke about hating it alot more then I have recently. Only fast food I regularly eat is Arby's...now them I love. Also really like Carl's Jnr, but it's so far away.

There is a Taco bell on every corner, but I won't eat their food. I'd go to mc donalds first, but....i'd rather just not eat then go to mc donalds. I wouldn't go out of my way to burn one down though.

And yeah, spidey is strong, but...that is limited in alot of his comics actually. I know they "tried" to say he was holding back and all that, but it's just plain silly as there are tons of times he's struggled with things that weigh like 1 ton etc in the past. His strength is pretty much as strong as it needs to be in the current comic he is in heh.

But I don't remember him EVER comparing in strength to the hulk (who he has fought if I remember right). He has super strength, but generally limited to throwing cars around except for special occasions.

Great movie, but does this mean we can't have any MCU movies till avengers 4 since almost everyone is dead?

I mean, I guess no main ones are scheduled and the next spiderman is set to come out right after it (kinda gives away that someone is going to come back, and basically everyone probably (that was made into dust at least).

Think ant man 2 is coming out....and um..thought there was another one as well....guess venom doesn't count (Cept can't be any spidey in venom now).

My issue isn't with you or your statements but the fact this is how ass-backwards society is. People are in charge of their thoughts and feelings, which extends to their actions. I saw that you changed your mind a bit. Just jumping up and shouting "God" would not be enough in my opinion to start a riot, and if one did happen, it would be due to other events as well. What he did though, after the recent shootings, could be interpreted as a threat. I still don't even feel that law is great, and I hate jail all together, as it doesn't really solve anything.

In this case though the idiot did this after a bunch of recent shootings, in a crowded theater with bad visibility and people got seriously hurt. Still think community service and paying for medical bills is better then jail time personally.

Still, I stand by what I said, don't jump up and scream stuff in crowded places. It's just not worth the risk.

Shrug, if Mead posted he broke up with his wife (got a divorce) I bet it would. Alot of people know/like Jen and post in her threads. Not all of them want to "get with her".

Got a friend going through similar things and yeah, it can be hard on the people around them, even friends, let alone a boyfriend etc. He may have also felt like he was needed and couldn't leave until Jen was in a safe place and getting better or something. It blows, but it's best to happen now, so Jen can find someone who actually will be there for her in the future. Nobody wants to be in a relationship with someone who just doesn't have the balls to break it off.

Everyone has things they can improve on, some more then others, the fact that your working to improve and better yourself is amazing (and often rare). In many ways it's better to have a new relationship in the future who didn't see/know the Jen who had an alcohol problem. They will only know the new and improved Jen:)

Man, wish you lived closer to me. Have not played shadowrun in forever but I love that rule system and the world. My Troll Physical Adept was a freaking blast to play. Love rolling the 6 sided dice and re-rolling 6's trying to get as high a number as possible. Such a fun system.

Can't remember the first character I played anymore, but it was in an old game called Man, Myth and Magic. He was a gladiator, but that is all I remember (other then we fought Lydia the Poisoner!!).

That was in like 1982 hehe.

Did not like this one at all. The combat was not as much fun to me, it was NOT like dark souls at all, but also not like previous god of wars.

Wasn't horrible, just didn't draw me into it. I gave up when I got to the open world parts and returned it.

Depends how much you're paying on your mortgage. Provided it's comfortably within your income, it shouldn't make you poor, and given that you can sell your house (potentially for quite a bit more than you spent, if you get lucky with the real estate market), it is much more of an investment than renting would be. That's not to say that everyone should own instead of renting, of course, but a mortgage is hardly a financial death sentence.

The mortgage by itself, no, but the other costs? Sadly yes.

First, it's crazy, but you get taxed the full value of the house even if you have not paid off much of it yet.

Second, HoA's are becoming more and more common, making it hard to buy a home without them.

Third, if you have a mortgage, you have to fully insure your home. Another additional expense.

Fourth, while some money goes towards the actual lone, in most cases the first 10 years you pay mostly interest on the loan. That means most of the mortgage is actually totally lost for that period.

Total cost of a 400k home, if you put 25k down, including taxes + interest + insurance = $2500 a month.

30 years is 360 months so a total of $900k you end up spending for the $400k home.

Actually I would not recommend buying a house, at least not an expensive one.

Buy a mobile home, fairly cheap, instead, until you can pay it off, and hopefully have enough to pay for most of it up front.

Then save your money (put it into at least a savings account that gives 1.5-1.6% interest a year), until you can buy a house straight up, even then seriously consider how much space you need etc, so your taxes are not that high, and avoid HoA dues like the plague.

I don't want to make this post too long, so I won't go into why that much, but basically your not saving money buying a house over renting depending on the situation. HoA dues can vary between $300-$500 a month, and taxes can be almost as much. If your spending $800 between them and $400+ on just the interest of your mortgage, your losing as much per month as you would renting (easily).

On the other hand if you put $20k down on a 50k mobile home, and pay $1000 a month towards the remaining $30k, you'll spend the same amount, and most will go towards the priciple. No HoA and taxes on 50k mobile home are like $100 a month. End result, you spend way less to live (unless your mobile home is on a lot and you have lot rent, which would again make it not that great a deal).

Even if you buy a home outright for say 400k though, consider the taxes you pay on that (about $400-500 a month) and the amount you could be making in interest from that much money (at 1.5% that is 6k a year in interest from a simple savings account...and you can do waaay better then that). Point is....owning a home is not nearly as good as people make it out to be.

$20 is like my normal order Super high metabolism, I hate it.

Just beware, I had a metabolism like that in my 20's but around 27.......boom....it went away. Still to this day have to remember not to eat as much as I want.

I worked graveyard at Carl's Jnr when I was 19 while going to vocational school to be an electronic tech and averaged $20 a meal AFTER my 50% discount heh. Back then min wage was like $5 as well, so I saved $20 a day on food by working there (like 4 hours worth of work hehe).

I ordered a nachos Bell grande and got double beef, double beans and cheese, added three cheese blend, pico, and red sauce

It was like $6 but it was freakin good

They deliver here actually, so you could get all that, and have it delivered for like $10 :)

You don't have to have intent to cause a riot for it to be illegal, you just have to cause the riot by your own actions, any un-intended consequences are your fault after that.

Yelling about people dying in a crowded place, or even yelling about god etc, is likely to cause a panic, which it did. If you do something that can cause a crowd to panic, and injuries occur, they are your fault.

Even if you are just trying to "save souls" you are doing so in a way that puts people at risk, and therefore, you are responsible for them.

Honestly, if you stand up in a crowded place and shout "I WANT A Mother Fing POPSICLE!!!!", and people far enough away from you don't know what you said exactly but start to scream and run, causing other people to do the same (because they heard screams), you are at fault.

Moral of this story is, don't freaking scream things in crowded places, you could end up killing someone (or more then one person).

I'm not currently subscribing and probably won't for awhile. I did jump back to try A series of unfortunate events season 2...but regretted it and didn't even finish watching the second season.

First was pretty good (I felt) but second just didn't do it for me.

Jessica Jones season 2 was good though at least, though not as good as the first (Which I rewatched as well).

Other then that, I'll probably wait for the next season of Stranger Things and catch up on anything I missed at that point (Maybe in October?).

I'd sub for another Daredevil as well probably, but not another defenders, iron fist, or luke cage. Never finished Punisher, and that is pretty much it for me as far as shows I care about on netflix.

I believe the law states you are responsible for any injuries that occur if you incite a crowd to panic due to your actions (as long as they are not warranted).

In this case, he may not have expected shouting "God" would cause a panic, but that does not excuse him from the fact that it did.

Any injuries therefore, are his fault, both legally and financially.

While I think Jail time is stupid in such a case (and most cases, I hate jails), I do think something needs to be done so that he compensates the people he hurt, and the lives he disrupted. Community service, fines etc. If he is a "man of god" then he can now show that by supporting the community, helping the poor and helping pay for any medical bills that arose due to his actions.

He shouldn't even need the government to tell him that.

On a serious note, this really does make it seem so.....clean? There is no sense of how much garbage we are creating anymore. You just drive up to those freight bins (thanks Mead), and toss stuff into them. What they do after that.....who knows.

The old dump in hayward? I always wondered what would happen over time, would it get larger and larger? Would everywhere eventually become a dump? It was....almost scary!!

It certainly made you appreciate the fact that you were producing a ton of waste every week/month!!

Kids that have only gone to the kind of dump I saw today (or none at all), will have no real incentive to recycle from the experience (Something I still do to this day...probably due to seeing the dump in my 20's).

Yeah, they weigh you when you enter, they weigh you when you leave, then they charge you $18 buckaroo's (no bonzai's), per 300 pounds.

I don't remember how they did it in the past, it was too long ago, but I think you still had to pay.

Considering how little stuff I fit in my car and it was over 300 pounds, if I get rid of everything at the dump, it would be seriously expensive. Luckily I'm gonna sell some stuff, donate some more, and move with a bunch as well.

So diff in Washington then CA.

Hayward dump in Ca (only one I went to), is a huge area of land with giant mountains of trash you back up to, and drop stuff off. You see machines all around moving the trash around and pounding it down, to create new spaces for mountains. The wind blows through leaving grit and dirt in your teeth, and for the duration you are there, you can imagine you are in a post apocalyptic, with other scavengers roaming the area looking for remnants of civilization.

In Washington, you drive up to a scale to enter, they weigh your car, you follow signs up to a bunch of large metal containers that are below you. You toss your stuff into the containers and leave. There are no piles of trash, no wind, no dirt roads (it's all paved), it is faster and easier then going through a fast food line actually. It took maybe 30 minutes total for me to unload about 400 pounds of stuff from my car.

It has been over 20 years since I went to the hayward dump actually so maybe they have all changed. Maybe eventually they just streamlined it and just stack the containers of trash after compacting them or something.

No clue, but it sure is different.
