Grass/green like aromas can be present if the beer is dryhopped. Usually golden in color, can be hazy depending on the malt bill and mash in temp. Flavor should mirror the taste, lots of citrus, grapefruit, berries, possibly spicy with little malt characteristics. Usually expect a low to mild bitter finish (potentially high if dryhopped) with a clean aftertaste that does not linger. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a great example of the style, with Black Abbey Crossroads being a personal favorite. --- |
