We don't get those kinds of votals anymore, so that match is not indicative of what we're experiencing now. Mewtwo in 2013 was a beast - if he somehow keeps that max strength, Ganondorf would be in real trouble.

Depends on how much of what Pokemon did in 2013 is natural strength and how much was bandwagon based (and how much of that still exists in 2018). If they're all legitimately at that strength, Pikachu, Squirtle and Mewtwo should all beat Ganondorf. But I'd have a hard time believing they'll all reach those highs again.

The anti-votes wouldn't be enough to offset the many votes that could come from other people only knowing who Bayonetta is thanks to Smash Bros. The only ones really mad about Bayonetta are the ones who played the game a lot. (It also looks like she's been nerfed quite a lot in Smash Ultimate.)

FF7 has dropped enough that Vincent can struggle vs KOS-MOS and lose to Phoenix, while Cloud can lose to a Pokemon. Why couldn't Sephiroth have fallen enough for Sonic to beat him? Especially without the FF7 remake in the news.
