But it has a variety of little hangups, where it'll stop responding and then you've got to slog over to your PC and restart Steam. It's a pain in the ass for me because my PC is in my office upstairs. Luckily my PC is just in the other room so it's pretty convenient. Only had one instance of some weird artifacting or anything like that, while I was playing Portal. Works quite well with my setup and I am quite pleased. --- |

On Xbone and PS4, it's not at all, because don't like all games require you to download them to your system's hard drive anyway? So it doesn't matter like at all. On Switch, on the other hand, Physical games run off of the cartridge completely, with 0 installation. So requiring an internet download sucks because it's wasting the memory space you could've used for digital games. And the only reasons devs on Switch are doing this is because they don't want to pony up the extra money to use larger physical carts. So their lack of willingness to pay for the extra memory means you'll have to as a consumer somewhere down the line. --- |
