Can anyone tell me why the angles of the edges on this model aren't showing up as expected when I toggle the "Edge Info: Angle" option?  All 3 of the other stats show up just fine when I toggle them, but it just so happens that edge angle is exactly the thing I'm looking for. --- |

| Timohtep 07/31/18 1:29:41 PM #1 | Prime one has literally no exposition outside of the scans. You're experiencing this world around you and learning about it organically. Absolutely nothing is spoon-fed to you except for the hints. you're exploring this great interconnected world in ways that make sense and it feels great. Prime 2 on the other hand is different. Prime 2 treads this weird line where they wanted a more complicated story but also wanted the feel of isolation the first one gave. I don't think that's really a possible balance to hit. What irks me the most is the fact that there are literally points where characters say to you "congratulations you can now open orange doors" just because he gave you the ability to do so. Metroid is at its best when you unlock new areas and are able to traverse to new places simply due to your heightened physical abilities not because of arbitrary story reasons. The game is bogged down by having very boring areas in wastes, bog, and swamps. There's very little interesting landscape relative to 1. the story suffers by having NPC's that tell you what you're doing. it was so much better in 1 being able to figure out your own goals as you proceed. Don't get me wrong, I do really really enjoy Prime 2. It's quite fun. But it doesn't come anywhere close to how good Prime 1 is. --- |
