First of all, how do they teach about WW2 and the Nazi regime in schools? Are they really embarrassed by it, or what?

Also, how is Germany for the social scene? Clubs, bars, etc. Or do Germans do different stuff to most Westerners?

How is the property market in Germany? Are the houses nice and big, or what?

Fallout, Elder Scrolls, GTA, etc. I never understood this. Every few years, if a sandbox game looks really good, I get one, but some people seem to live off this stuff. Their bread and butter. How about playing a fighting game from time to time, or maybe a side-scrolling platformer? An RPG, perhaps?

Plus, a lot of sandbox games are overrated. Sure, they have a lot of content, maybe 50+ hours, but it's not always that much fun, due to boring area / overall gameplay design. It's like, if a game is really good value for money, it doesn't matter that it's actually quite boring...some people don't seem bothered by that.

I suppose if push came to shove, I could spend the last few days of the year just watching film after film on TV (you know how Christmas TV is), but...eh. They hardly ever show good films on TV, unless it's very late (and even then, not that much). I suppose I could stream some films, which is what I sometimes do, but I've had some kind of tech problem lately, that's interfered with that plan.

To be fair, improved graphics over the years had improved gameplay.

- When draw distances got much longer, like on the N64, you could decide where to go next because you could see it in the distance

- More detail on graphics makes it easier to see / understand things

- Smoother framerates make the game easier to play, as opposed to jerky framerates (although framerates have been up and down over the years)

No I'm just shitposting tbh. I can't imagine CoD Ghosts sold any significant numbers of copies after the following installment dropped though.

If we're including people buying used / second-hand copies, it probably sold quite a few for years. I used to work at GAME, and we focused on second-hand stuff, and I remember quite a few CODs on the shelves. I don't know if people usually include second-hand sales in total numbers, though, probably not.

Can you actually prove that? I expect it sells for a long time, although after the first few months, sales probably drop off a quite lot.

Besides, in 2012 the franchise was still massively popular. It was only later that people started to lose interest (to an extent), and go to stuff like Battlefield.

Yeah, I sometimes think that. The 8th gen was very good, but it wasn't amazing or anything. I think the 4th, 5th and 7th gens were the best for the games (which is what it's all about, of course).

Slow release schedules suck, they really do.

Sadly, I haven't gotten any new games this month. The stuff that looks really good isn't out until next month (which is weird, seeing games released in December). But I've been having fun with my collection.

It's only a few weeks away, but people aren't foaming at the mouth quite as much anymore.

I must admit, I want to play this. I've barely touched the series before, but after hearing SO many people talk about it, perhaps it's time to take the plunge. Having said THAT, I don't know why I want to play it, since I'll be playing alone 95% of the time, and it's clearly meant to be a multi-player experience.

You know, Merkle says she's retiring at the end of this term. Kinda surprised, although apparently that wave of immigrants she welcomes in in 2015 really weakened her (which isn't surprising).

Bioshock was fairly average, due to boring gameplay, despite the other good stuff. And they didn't come up with the overall idea, they "borrowed" it from Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand.

So many Bioshock fanboys, even now.

TBQH, the Nazi regime had a few good points. They turned a trainwreck economy into a strong economy, which takes a lot of skill and intelligence; they created the VW company; they gave the German people a positive attitude to the future. Sadly, their negative qualities far outweighed their good qualities.
