Holy crap, a rainbow is definitely never happening again(unless I pay and Gumi doesnt deserve my money).

Attitude goes a long way. Just remember that it's all a gamble and just like in Vegas, losing a gamble is depressing and worsens the more you lose.

There are no real niche units in the game or must have 5* base units. If you are struggling to complete content, the exvius wiki usually has one or two free to play content clearing walk through that uses no 5* Base units and TMRs.

Rerolling also means throwing away all the items you've gotten this point too.

What really matters is whether getting 7*s will make you happy enough to keep playing, because if you don't enjoy the game now, just getting a new unit isn't probably going to change that more than temporarily.

I'm skipping until Halloween. I want to possibly get a second GL Sakura and DracuLaswell to see what their 7*s are like.

In other news, today was a good day. I got around to doing some older content and knocked out 3* Lakshmi, Stag Trial (all missions), and Ice Bird Trial (didn't get Ifrit Summoned). I kind of under estimated how much damage my Trance Terra was going to do to the Ice Bird, and she one shot him by herself without buffs since I didn't want to waste the Chaos Chain but still wanted to build up the Esper Gauge. It's all good though, I'm not sure if that ice damage ability is worth a rerun or not though.

I'm guessing that since I don't have the Doll Hat, any Action TMRs, Ramuh's Exp Skill, and only 1 Egg, that the Exp Vortex is still inferior to Cactuars fusing one at a time?

Best I can tell from my stuff, I can run 1 Egg, an Anniversary Item, and Divine Blessing, which I think nets me 2.1x?

It allows her to use Chaos Chain on Turn 1 (which is the biggest thing), and gives her 20% more MP plus some HP and Resistances.

Having to blow like 90 NRG and go through 5 missions just because one thing went wrong got me out of that habit quick.

I feel tilted when I overlook something doing a Story Mission. For example, I brought a source of magical damage to complete an elemental damage mission once and completely spaced it that the other mission in the same series was "No Magic."

I've noticed I have a serious OCD problem when it comes to getting "Complete" on all my missions.

I don't care if it's something like: "Defeat the Malboro Menace on their turn with a Counter Attack and get 1 Beast Meat," I feel like I have to go all in on every Mission and get it done lol.

I can Awaken Queen once I get another 3 Million too, but with 3 Physical Chainers already, I might be good to just hold off. Ramza and Lightning don't get much use at all. Ace may not see much use either, especially since I don't have his TMR. Ayaka doesn't have her TMR either, but I use her regardless and didn't see any reason NOT to 7* her.

I should probably try and go do Trials now for gear since I think I should have a pretty decent advantage even if my TMRs are lackluster.

I keep reading that Bards have no place in the 7* Meta, but that being said, Ramza's role changes a bit when he becomes a 7* and he's isn't really a Bard anymore. He kind of doesn't have a real identity anymore.

I still have never done one of these Weapon enhancement things. I just don't play enough and spend all weekend doing Gil Snappers since I'm always hovering at 2 mil gil or less. I play about once a day on average.

I might put the Excalibur on Hyoh, and give the Ultima Weapon to Orlandeau, and give him a Lightbringer and change Katana Mastery and Hill Digger to something else. This would allow my Hyoh and Orlandeau to chain together if I'm not mistaken, though I still need to learn how exactly to do it lol.

Not sure where I should start looking at TMRs to improve my units from here though. I have a few options, including not increasing these three units too.

Options include:
Strategic Cape (for Trance Terra, currently at 1.2%)
Mystic Sash (for Trance Terra, currently at 0%, not sure if better than Ring of Lucii)
Desch's Earring (If I fuse my 3 Desch together, I'll have 23.4%)
Pure White Blessing (for my Ayaka, currently at 14.9%)
Acceptance (For Ace, currently at 35.7%)
Flame Blade Agni (for Hyoh, currently at 5%)
Tonitrus (for Hyoh, currently at 45%)
Hoemaru (for Orlandeau if I decide to flame chain with Hyoh? currently at 75% [would be a waste])
Get TMRs for 5* Bases that don't have them unlocked yet I guess as well.

I don't know what I should be looking to equip on Trance Terra, but I think she has claim to pretty much all my mage gear that I can give her.

I had one friend drop me in the last two weeks, and I have 130 Friends. I am not picky about who friends up with me though and take some of those non-5* base and low account level people on as friends as well, so I'm probably less likely to have someone who only wants the best of the best on their friends list. I did need to remove 5 people from my friends list for being offline for 7+ days though.

Also, @BakusaiTenketsu Im not sure if were friends, but my Hyoh currently has Excalibur equipped, so if you want to try and bring him as your second DPS unit instead of another Orlandeau, that may help you hit thresholds each turn.

I dont know how high your Orlandeaus attack is, but I was hitting 20% each turn with my Orlandeau + my Hyoh.

Diabolos 3* is still kicking my ass, and I can't figure out why.

Basch - Dark resist 200%, Magic Tank
WoL - 100% Evasion, Death Proof, Provoke tank
Ayaka - Healer, Stop Clear
2x Orlandeaus - DPS

Basch still takes damage (over 10k sometimes), sometimes just chip damage. WoL's Brave Presence should be a 100% Provoke, and with the imperil, Basch should still be immune to dark damage. So unless he's stopped, I don't know how he's taking damage, or why he's taking 10k ohko damage even on non-threshold rounds.

So, I did a Zillow search just to get a density check of where most the homes for sale that meet our criteria are.

House (No Condo/TownHome)
3+ Beds
2+ Baths
250k-300k

The highest density of homes that match were found South, South East, and East of Washington DC, and all around Baltimore. The homes closer to DC are definitely small, and I don't think we are interested in living that close anyways.

The homes around Baltimore are actually a bit more interesting and I think where we might start our search. The Post Office is paying Relocation, including 10 days to go out and check the areas, so beginning of October, we'll probably be out in the Baltimore region.

The thing I just keep coming back around to is that I will almost assuredly never use two 7* Hyoh's while they are still relevant. It just seems like getting a 180 Attack Weapon gives me more bang for my buck right now.

I mean hell, I see quite a few Hyoh's on my FL with Revolving Saw, which has no Element, so I'm guessing even Hyoh himself would at least somewhat benefit considering I have no Tonitrus, Agni Blade, and Excalibur is just a go to for him to chain with my Orlandeau.

She commutes by car 30 minutes each way right now, but used to commute 60 minutes each way a year ago. The main issue is she tends to stay late at work to catch up, so we think the longer commute, if done by train, will allow her to do that catch up while she's traveling home anyways.

A commute from Harper's Ferry by train estimates a 1 hr 45 min commute, so if she keeps busy on the train it would be better than her staying at work anyways. She absolutely won't be driving to work unless she has to for an emergency or something.

Checked out the Subreddit, and most of the advice there seems to be about living in the city, or in close proximity to it. We are ok with an hour and half commute by train if it means not being that close to DC, having an actual house and not a shared wall, and keeping it between 250-300k at most.

By "area" I mean, within commuting distance by train or what have you?

My wife got a promotion to work at Post Office Headquarters in Washington DC, and we literally know nothing about the area.

I'm originally from California, she's been in Utah all her life. We married almost 20 years ago in Utah, and neither of us has been further East than Arkansas.

We have two kids, 9 and 11. We sustain ourselves on her single income (~80k a year, though the promotion might change that), though I am a veteran with a 50% disability pension.

What suburban areas should be in the housing market for? We will probably rent at first, but know we can easily afford a 280-300k house. We don't like shared walls, so town homes and condos aren't for us.

I've only just recently started browsing some of the suburbs, and there are a lot of options out there. One that I really liked the "look" of just from internet perusal was Harper's Ferry in West Virginia, but I'm not entirely sure if that's too far from DC or not.

Anyone offer some other areas that we might be interested in looking in to?

Also... Question about Diabolos 3* Fight DPS choices.

I've been trying to do the Diabolos 3* fight with:
WoL - Death Immune Provoke Tank
Basch - 200% Dark Resist Magic Tank
Ayaka - Stop Cure and Heals
MS Nichol - Buffs and MP Battery
Orlandeau - 1487 Attack, DPS

My Orlandeau is averaging about 1-2% per turn... it's pretty depressing. I was at about 72 Turns, and then accidentally hit the AUTO button and didn't pay attention, which caused my run to fall apart because I eventually let Diabolos kill me while my eyes were elsewhere. I had been going for almost 50 minutes.

I figure I must be doing something wrong on a DPS level since it seems like that is just taking way too long, despite how safe it is.

Would anyone recommend a line up change in some way?

I know you said not to get Hyoh's STMR, but I am just too casual to try and gear even one Hyoh let alone a second 7*.

Almost every Hyoh on my friends list has a Flaming Blade Agni. In order for me to chain with them, I am using a Vernard, which causes me to lose 200 Attack since it's both inferior in damage and no L Sword bonus. So, my 7* 115 Hyoh has 1047 Attack >_>. Working on a second 7* isn't even feasible right now, and I think I would at least get more benefit out of the STMR for other characters.
