I might swap out MS Nichol for Rikku, but I'm worried I will start running into MP issues. My Ayaka can't MP battery all that well, not sure what I'm doing wrong with that. She only regens about 45 mp per turn naturally, so she'd sieve out her resources too quickly.

Attempt #2 on Bloody Moon ended the same way Attempt #1 did, only this time I was prepared and had everyone reraised when Scorn hit. But Basch suddenly started taking damage, even with 100% Elemental resistance across the board, so something changed.

All of Phase 1, he'd never take a single point of damage unless a random physical attack that WoL didn't catch hit him, he'd resist all magic attacks. When Phase 2 started, he took a lot more damage, and was impossible to keep up, and keep the other teammates protected as well.

Will make a third attempt when I find another Trance Terra (non)friend come up.

Trying to fix a lamp that's missing it's bolt and wing nut. I have a 3/8ths Bolt, but it's not quite big enough, and I have a 7/16ths Bolt that's just a bit too big. I'm guessing, I need something metric in between, and I'm not mechanically (or numerically) savvy.

Anyone help me with this?

Just made my first attempt at Bloody Moon.

WoL - 100% Evasion, Brave Presence (Genji Shield)
Basch - Twili Guard, 100% All Elemental Resistance (4x THG, Hero Shield, Drake Armor, Sorc Cape)
MS Nichol - Buffs and MP Regen
Ayaka - Dual Cast Reraiser
Trance Terra - DPS
Trance Terra - DPS (friend)

Got through the 8 mini elemental moons and reached Phase 2, but I think I misjudged going into Phase 2 while trying to get the missions done, because 4 party members stayed dead and after that I kept trying to play keep up until I was attritioned off.

I think this group might work, I just need to figure out the nuances of the fight better, and get more Trance Terra friends lol (just have the one I think).

Provoke tank is needed, though the physical DPS is not too bad.
Mag tank is much needed with elemental protection across the board, though, due to the variety of elements the disciples throw at you.

So...
Tank 1 - Warrior of Light (Brave Presence)
Tank 2 - Basch (Twilight Guard)

Should I try and make WoL evade? As much resistance and spirit gear on Basch as I can? Who needs the Genji Shield between the two?

I don't have Quintessence, so that would probably help a lot considering that's a whole extra Rod and boost to Magic.

Golem 3* down. I was thinkinging the 100% Earth Imperil was supposed to be happening at thresholds. I realized it was just a rotation thing and once I adapted, it wasn't too bad. I did it with two orlandeaus though, so took a while, but it's done.

I have Siren, Ifrit, Shiva, Ramuh, and Golem 3* now. Which Esper should I tackle next?

I saw Final Destination (first one with Devon Sawa) in theaters, and I think it was absolutely a must see in theaters type of movie.

Basically any movie with a lot of eye candy, or any movie that has extremely well timed jump out of your seat moments, are great for movie theaters.

If you have motion seating in one of your theaters, you could add any movie that makes good use of the motion immersion as a good one as well, like Real Steel.

I read some reddit post that was like...

"All you need is a dodge tank, Earthen Ward, and 3 DPS, and you can just hit repeat to beat Golem."

K, someone help me figure out why Golem is kicking my butt. I thought this was supposed to be easy, but I'm missing something key.

Team:
100% Evasion Basch (Physical Tank)
Veritas of Earth (100% Earth resist)
MS Nichol (Buffs, MP regen, and has Bushido - Freedom for dispel)
Orlandeau (DPS 1, not really sure if I have anything better for dps)
Dark Fina, with or without swimsuit (Friend unit, DPS 2)

Turn 1:
Basch physical cover
VoE earthen ward
Nichol buffs
DPS attack

Turn 2:
Almost a repeat of Turn 1 really, with tanks doing some different stuff.

Turn 3:
Repeat again.

Golem's Turn 3 kills Orlandeau, Nichol, and the friend unit every single time. Something's getting through the physical tanking of Basch and the 100% Earth resistance of VoE. First couple times I did this, I thought it might have been because I was breaking the 80% threshold, but sometimes I don't even reach 80%.

Still no daily free Rainbows for me. I'm still convinced that 4k Lapis was a better choice, especially considering how much salt I'm seeing from people who not only aren't pulling Rainbows, but those that are pulling crappy rainbows, like Delita lol.

Having them on helps gauge when to strike, unless you have engraved that megaflare charge time on your very soul.

I don't use Finishers, just a bunch of chainers. Tidus, A2, Fryevia, Orlandeau, etc... So counting to 2 and then starting all my chains usually draws out the damage time long enough so that no matter when the Esper damage hits, as long as the enemy's health has hit 0, I get credit.

I've never had a problem with "Kill with Esper" missions unless it was something like a fight which was over in one or two rounds and I couldn't build my gauge up in time. I always just summon, count to two, and then do my standard rotation. I have all animations and effects turned off, so not sure if that helps, but as long as the esper damage hits while the chain is going, even if the enemy already hit 0 health, I still get credit.

I awoke TG Cid and Ramza with their TMRs at 100%, but I'm not likely to farm a second TG Plan or Brave Suit any time in the foreseeable future, so I'm not worried about it. I awoke Lightning and Dark Fina without their TMRs even slightly leveled, so again, not worried about it.

I might keep that information in hand later down the line for one of the 5* bases I have 100%d that can be 7*d though. TMR farming is too slow for me to do without moogles though, so this information isn't as big a deal to me.

Yeah, I was. Didn't realize both didn't proc. Magic Cover with Provoke wasn't working for me since Snowstorm Hail was still killing the entire party.

I spent 150 energy on trying and failing Shiva 3* last night.

100% Physical Evade Warrior of Light
200% Ice Resist Basch
Ramza - Support, Healing, MP regen
Marie w/ Ifrit and Bushido - Freedom
Orlandeau - Damage

Everything goes fine until I reach Diamond Dust marks. I'm able to dispel the Ice Resist Debuff, but my rotation seems to continuously get screwed up somehow and Marie and Ramza die on the next Shooting Hail round, but it's not from Shooting Hail, it's from whatever happens after Shooting Hail. I have Basch taking all Magic Damage and Warrior of Light taking all Physical, but after the threshold breach, the next Showstorm Hail will have Warrior of Light eating it all, but then the rest of the party taking Ice Damage from something that Basch isn't taking for the whole party. After 80%, the damage is like 6k to Marie and 3k to Ramza and Orlandeau, and after the 60% threshold, the damage was 11k to Marie and 8k to the other two.

Help me figure out how to hit exactly 300% Attack with my Orlandeau.

I only have Black Lion Crest +1 right now, but will get it to +2 as soon as I get the Tech Alcrysts, so I am missing 40% from there currently, so I would need some help figuring out optimization for both before and after.

I am currently using:
Excalibur + Virtuous Contract
Thunder God's Plan (50% + 30%)
Awesome Swordsman (15% + 15%)
Adventurer V (40%)
...which I think totals 220% with the 30% and 40% passives from Orlandeau.

Additional things I have include:
Ring of Lucii
Katana Mastery
Large Sword Mastery
Sworn Six's Pride - Dark
Various Attack +30% and lower Materia (including possibly Hill Digger if I just need 10% and want HP)
Dual Wields (if I want to find the 30% elsewhere than Awesome Swordsman)
Possibly other things I might be over looking

Decided to 7* Ramza and Orlandeau. I had enough Moogles on standby to get Orlandeau to 98.5% Trust, so I'll have his TMR soon enough. I also awoke Divine Retribution to +2, so at least he'll have some use as a friend unit once I get him equipped and leveled.

I'll probably use Ramza a ton too as my support for the time being.

I don't have any more gil (less than 2mil), so I can't awaken Lightning or Dark Fina yet, but Dark Fina might be next so I can go with a team of:
Basch
Ayaka
Ramza
A2 (Aigaion Arm)
Dark Fina

And have Orlandeau on a different squad for chaining necessities and whoever might need Light Imperil.
I don't have D. Fina's TMR though, so that's gonna be a bit gimpy for a while once she does get 7*d.

Probably not much

My choices for Batch 1 are:
Ramza
Dark Fina
Lightning
Orlandeau

The only one of those 4 I have the TMR for is Ramza, and he's also the only one that I awoke any abilities on. I could awaken all 4 to 7*, but I would then be broke... literally (I only had 12,001,67 gil at the start of the day, after I got the free 3mil from Gumi lol).

In other news, I finally finished the last 10% of TMR farming my other 3 Noctii. I have 5 Rings of Lucii now, and my current TMR farming team is Noctis #6, 2x Desch, Marie, and Gladiolus. Manual TMR farming is tedious as hell.

I have two of Dark Fina, Ramza, and Orlandeau, and if I decide to do the Rookie Quest, I can have two Lightnings. I have a Brave Suit, but I haven't awakened any of the abilities on any of these units from this batch.
