Also, I'm assuming they didn't get as much back from the last season as they expected. Because that one came with its own intro video showing off everyone who is coming up in the season. Now we just have a trailer for one dude who is basically just an altered existing model.

So... underwhelming to say the least. They didn't even hint at who else is in this upcoming season either. I kinda hope that Mortal Kombat does this seasons thing right with their battle passes. That's a series I wish had as much support and longevity as SFV does.

I guess it's cool they gave Evil Ryu a name. I guess.

I dunno. They had a bunch of characters I was hype for in the last season but I just couldn't bring myself to come back for them. Maybe if they give me Adon, Dan, or Abel.

I think this game is such damaged goods at this point. They had something here with the concept of having a pseudo free-to-play model, but they kind of messed that up, especially with a season 2 of nothing but new characters. I just don't like how SFV plays for the most part. And I think that's what keeps me away most of anything.

This Saiyaman event is infuriating. It seems like the drops are broken except the last one or something, because I can't get any drops for anything except that one. And of course it drops 1 out of 20 medals I need, while also only doing it part of the time while the other time it drops a Rare card.

Not to entirely defend Pat (because I definitely agree that you're right in that it would be a bit tiring to deal with Pat that much sometimes), but Liam and Matt seem like they have some issues on their own. Liam seemed to take the obvious bullshit Pat would expel entirely too seriously and would actively get annoyed by it. But Liam seemed like he would take most everything way too seriously, and he would get heated more than anyone else. Matt, on the other hand, has noted mental issues which I don't think anyone faults him for, but he gets entirely too stressed about everything from what it seems like, and he takes things way too hard. He also seems like he's on vacations all the time, and while that's fine, he still manages to be so stressed out because of that.

I think eventually they would have both been worn down by Pat, and I'm sure business decisions they had to make behind the scenes had a big part of this too. But I don't think it's fair to say that it's Pat that's the common denominator and act like that's it.

Oh, no. I don't blame Arin for it. I know it may have seemed like it since I have a dislike for him. I know they have a ton of projects they do, and seriously, it's super strange that people cared that much. The only thing I blame him for is having a personality that his fanbase reflects, in that it's rather negative and toxic.

There's a distinct difference in these fanbases. Arin just screams and blames everything else for issues he has in games and is overall negative towards a lot of it to the point that it sometimes comes off bitter. So of course his fanbase is going to reflect that.

The Best Friends would be negative about stuff, but they'd still laugh and make jokes about it and generally just be a bit snarky and at least act like they had fun with each other while also trashing on one another in a good natured manner. So the fanbase just cracks sarcastic jokes about them. In fact, you can see this in the comments of their goodbye video. People are making inside jokes based on everything they say and saying they'll miss them greatly for the majority of it.

When the Game Grumps fanbase lost JonTron, for example, they all just screeched madly about how horrible it is and how it's all ruined and dumped all over Dan and Ross about how they suck and they miss old Game Grumps and how Dan will never be able to replace JonTron. It's distinctly different, and I think it's entirely because of Arin's crappy attitude.

It sucks that their friendship broke up, and I hope that they can mend it. What sucks too is that they bought that studio and now have to sell that likely.

I did. Simon Belmont's keepaway is strong enough that you can keep her down from a distance. I had some trouble, especially when she uses her final smash, but when I beat her, I ended up with a sizeable life lead. You honestly just spam projectiles enough and hit her with the whip when she falls into a holy water. And if she gets too close, tilt down to roll and/or jump away.

The worst part about Daisy's inclusion is that she does not say "Hi, I'm Daisy!" My girlfriend who is absolutely ignorant of any video game memes and I have to explain to her the basics of a game like Mario Kart knows enough about Daisy to ask me how she can make her say "Hi, I'm Daisy!"

I mean, it's definitely harder than most TV in that you gotta fill atleast 2.25 hours every single week with literally no normal "seasons" to create downtime in between, and you gotta do so by taking into account that people will or will not react the way you are hoping to and things may or may not need to be changed on the fly, whether because of that or an injury or who knows what else.

So is it likely very difficult? Yes.

Is it anywhere near as difficult as they seem to be making it, or too difficult for a company that has as much money as WWE? Absolutely not.

Oh, I totally get that stuff.

I get things having to change on the fly and that being hard, but creating the show week-to-week with an entire week to prepare it. I know it's not necessarily easy, but it seems ridiculous how they make it out to seem like it's so difficult they have these sleepless nights and have to slave over ideas for an entire show for a week as more than a full time thing when most of the show can just be filled in with Seth Rollins and Baron Corbin have a 30 minute match and this happens at the end.

Like I just don't get what makes it so absurdly difficult compared to other television programs aside from the fact that they don't get downtime between seasons.

Bryan says what's really hard is having an intervention with Vince. He's not wrong. But Steph and Trips should be the ones pushing for this because it will be their company soon enough. They have the most to lose.

I still don't necessarily understand what is so hard about writing a 3 hour wrestling show still. Like, take out commercials and you're down to maybe 2.25 hours, if that. And then add in match times where the writers are largely uninvolved for the most part except for a finish. Take out time for entrances and stuff too and promotional videos and that takes even less time out. So they have 30+ people there to write awful dialogue for people and figure out a general storyline direction? That somehow it's so hard that it has the writers up at 3 in the morning trying to figure out?

It sounds like the whole creative process is seriously fucked up somewhere.

On the Bryan and Vinny show, they talked about Tyler Breeze on NXT looking incredibly confident and like a total main eventer and actually making Ricochet look like just a guy when he came out. They said he got a bigger pop on this NXT show than anyone in WWE had in ages.

Then they were asking how they have a guy who can get this reaction and do such a great job and WWE has no idea what to do with him and they end up sending him to NXT while Fandango is out. It kind of goes back to what (I think) scarlet was talking about where a minor character like Tyler Breeze has absolutely nothing going for him on Raw, so it's impossible for people to care, when he's shown he can be a great talent. And that with 30+ writers they still can't come up with anything for Tyler Breeze.

It was actually an interesting thought.

I got my 9.9 with Snake while doing his clear 5.0 or higher without continuing (Since that appears to mean starting at 5.0 for some reason) lmfao

I'm not even good with him, I just used the very big-brained strategy of "spam foward smash and dash attacks, abuse items, and completely ignore that your B-button even exists"

I got mine with K. Rool. I think his is actually super easy. He faces all characters with big hitboxes and are slow, so it felt really easy.

Yes they are UNBELIEVABLY stubborn on some points like Cesaro (how many times does he have to get over on the Strength of his skill as a worker for them to finally realize they have something there?) and on others Rusev was getting over as a face with a heel act and predictably when they turned him face finally it didnt go well because.... Its not a face act. We argued about it in this topic and it came true.

I agree with everything except Rusev. They barely had Rusev and English as an act together as a face, and it was working. They just did it poorly and broke them up very quickly after, which is what they wanted to do even before the face turn.

Admittedly I haven't seen the instances you spoke of, but I was referring more to the ones like Braun turning face the first time which I recall did not get as big of a reaction as it could have gotten had they built it up proper. Same with New Day face turn and Usos face turn, among others. They do these things sometimes with no real reaction.

I can absolutely disagree with you. But when you try to tell me things like "They gave Rusev his spot! They gave you what you wanted! When you cheered for four months straight for Rusev Day, we gave you his uninspired heel run, refusing to let you have him face, and they we gave him a meaningless title shot with barely any build up and kept him heel! And then we finally turned him face after you guys gave up and split up his act entirely and stopped giving you a reason to chant for Rusev Day in another really bad storyline! This is exactly what you wanted and you still complain!" And then telling people that everyone that people wanted to be pushed were in the right spot because WWE didn't push them when they were at their most popular, so therefore it's right. Steiner made a good post that blew that idea up, so read it again if you don't get how dumb that is. And you tried to even tell me my opinion doesn't matter because I don't watch NXT which I still don't understand at all.

Like, you aren't making all stupid points, but you're making some really dumb ones, but acting like you shouldn't be called out for the bad ones.

Literally the same company that showed an entire montage of people doing that Fandangoing, including at freaking sports events, and talking about how cool it is, and then having Fandango come out and tell the crowd how stupid they are for doing that and that they shouldn't do it at all. And so people stopped doing what was super popular.

Vince found AOPP funny, and it went on and on, but did you notice AOPP wasn't chanted after that? And that the segments became death? This company does not care what is popular. They care if Vince is entertained by it. Nothing more.

Rusev got his title shot. After months and months of being a heel act. While still a heel act. When the crowd wanted him to be a face. Are you just purposefully missing the point?

They spent at least two moths fighting against Becky's face reaction. With how much of a reaction they got two weeks was too much. Especially since they wanted her face from the beginning and they turned her heel in the first place.

And you cite a bunch of examples there, but they still waited months on each of them past their most popular, so they just get so-so reactions after. And even then, did anyone feel that passionately about it like they did these other guys? Why is it that when people really want something they won't give it to them, but when people are giving an opposite reaction sometimes they'll eventually go "Okey dokey I guess we'll just book them as face or heel" sometimes without an actual turn, or an actual turn when it's convenient that doesn't elevate anyone most times. Like, out of most of those heel or face turns, when did they ever get a big reaction? It just sort of ends up happening no big deal. If they never turned them, would people have gotten upset or have kept calling for it? Very unlikely.

We all know the storyline suck, but let's not act like WWE is so gracious in giving people what they want when the crowd reactions for years has been contrary to that.

Like, this company has not a single star because they only star they had was Roman Reigns, a guy who was booed every single time he came out, and now he's gone. They sacrificed everyone else and all this time and effort into making this guy a star that half the people don't want.

So they have no stars left. AJ isn't there yet. Seth isn't. Braun isn't. They're the only other three even close and they have failed to make them stars because they focused too much on Roman.

This company has no major draws in it now and it's a major reason why they are in the deficit they're in.

Zack Ryder is a bad wrestler who got over by being a dork on a YouTube channel. Great, how do you channel that into something meaningful on WWE TV week to week. I'm not sure who I see on the roster where I'm going "man, that guy is stealing Zack Ryder's spot."

Cesaro is a terrific wrestler without a ton of charisma. So what does he get to do? Just have MotN candidates PPV and PPV with The Shield, the New Day, the Usos, Gallows and Anderson, etc. Wow, poor dude.

And Rusev was literally challenging for the WWE title not too long ago and is currently challenging for the US title. So an upper midcard act is being treated like... an upper midcard act.

Its incredibly hard to see any of them as other than their expected roster placement. None of these guys were destined to be continuous main eventers with multiple world title reigns.

Dude. You have to be joking.

They actively kill the crowd reaction for these guys as hard as they can. They make sure that they get the reaction they want. So by the time we have Rusev going for the title, it's already months and months past when he is most popular and he was still a heel when he went for it, and it was a meaningless match as a result. They literally did not include Cesaro and Ryder on TV when people were going insane for them so they would cool their reaction. They made Becky try for the cheapest of heat to get booed instead of cheered like people wanted.

They fight against the crowd reactions constantly. It's fine you think that this is these guys' ceilings, but it's ridiculous to say "Well, look. They ignored what the crowd wanted and now they're in a comfortable spot!" So why even cheer at all? Why boo at all? Why bother trying to tell this company anything you want knowing full well they will just ignore you.

Imagine if they continued to ignore Daniel Bryan's positive reaction like they had with these other guys. They fought kicking and screaming against pushing Daniel Bryan. Their third biggest star had to literally quit for Daniel Bryan to get a chance and for them to give the crowd what they wanted. We had one of the best times in wrestling when we got what we wanted. They made the crowd happy. There's a reason we have never had anything like that again because this company does not give a shit about giving people what they want.

I don't even know why I have to explain why they should listen to crowd reactions instead of actively fighting against them.
