The writing in Fates is laughably bad, especially the supports. In previous games (before Awakening) characters typically only had 3 or 4 supports, and most of them were used for meaningful character development (most, not all). Awakening and Fates have the problem of everyone supporting with everyone, and because of this the convos are much more mundane and stupid. This is literally Kaze and Oboro in Fates:

"Omg Kaze there's a mouse will you help me catch it?"

"Sure Oboro."

Later

"Yay we caught the mouse! Wanna get married?"

"Yes, this whole mouse catching adventure has made me realize I love you Oboro!"

"I love you too Kaze!"

It's so awful.

Been rewatching the series and made it back to season 7 and holy shit she's awful. Every line of dialogue she speaks and every action she takes makes me roll my eyes. What the hell happened to this character? Her arc in the books was about slowly losing her humanity as she is faced with death and tragedy time and time again. Now in the show she's just some invincible superhero. That scene with the Freys was just awful.
