That movie was so exceedingly dull I have to assume that passionate defense of it has more to do with personal pride than any sort of cinematic merit.

a lot of it has to do with the aforementioned russian bots that just wanted to stir shit and made a bunch of fake insufferable anti-TLJ personalities trigger fans so that fans then have to backlash against them

only that anti-TLJ lot doesn't actually exist to any significant degree since they were largely manufactured bots to begin with, so the TLJ defence force is all geared up against a nonexistent enemy they view as its critics

kinda like the Bernie Bros, they could annoy me too but then it turned out a lot of that noise were russian bots and not actual Bernie supporters

The Last Jedi so good, Star Wars fans are apparently just easily susceptible to Russian bot opinions. Almost every 'critique' I see on the film stems from bizarre fan expectations that really have nothing to do with the inherent quality of a film. There are plenty of actual flaws (why it's a mid-8/10 and the first two are high-9/10s - but everything else in the series is a low-7 at best), but so much of the complaining I see has to do with plot elements...not going how the fans expected them to? Like the Star Wars fanbase actively wants the plot to be generic and predictable. Anything about Rey's parentage and Snoke comes off as nonsense rambling, yet that seems to be what every anti-Last Jedi rant is prefaced with. I'll give people the rather meandering nature of some plot points, but so much of it seems to boil down to 'this plot didn't have enough fan service.'

what about people who didn't read anything online and still were gravely disappointed. seriously, come off the any criticism is "nonsense rambling" high horse

a shit ton of anti-TLJ comments were bots, yes, which dumb defensive TLJ posters can easily turn into their strawmen

I seriously adore how many insanely obscure (sometimes Japan-only and sometimes not!) games I'm being exposed to by spirits. I've been gaming my whole life and generally feel like I know a majority of the "hidden gems" you can dig up so to find out there's so much out there I don't know about is a legit feeling of wonder.

yeap mentioned before but early in I used Frey & Freya from Zangeki no Reginliev as long as I could, but then I also love that Stunt Race FX got representation again! (wasn't in SSB4 but had a sticker in Brawl)
